Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,222.46 to $2,330.77+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:

The Woodward Marketing Coordinator is a key member of the marketing team. This self-motivated individual is responsible for overseeing industry-leading photo and video content, and the overall storytelling, consistent with the Woodward Copper and Copper Mountain voice and branding to enhance the efforts of the marketing team and the resort as a whole. Along with content oversight, the Woodward Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for managing all of Woodward Copper’s photo and video assets, website, email communications, and social pages.


The Woodward Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the selection, management, and oversight of the Woodward Copper ambassador program. This person works directly with the Copper marketing and Woodward teams to determine content needs and works with cross-departmental team members to fulfill those needs.


The Woodward Marketing Coordinator will promote Woodward Copper at live shows and events at Copper as well as off-site. This team member aims to expand Woodward Copper audience and maximize revenue. The Woodward Marketing Coordinator is passionate about skillfully articulating all aspects of resort life and marketing that content to an evolving consumer.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Woodward Copper Marketing:

  • Work directly with the Sr. Marketing Manager and collaborate with the greater Marketing, Events, and Woodward Copper teams to support the promotion of Woodward Copper parks, the Barn, summer camp, and overall brand.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Woodward Copper’s business and operations.
  • Be an expert in the Woodward Copper and Copper brand, voice, and visual guidelines.
  • Staff on- and off-site events to promote Woodward as needed.

Social Media:

  • Manage Woodward Copper’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, and contributions to YouTube.
  • Working with the Sr. Marketing Manager, develop monthly content plans in support of Woodward Copper’s brand, events, and business goals.
  • Drive the creation and publishing of content.
  • Lead community management; monitor and respond to comments and DMs.
  • Monitor and tap into trends, athletes/creators, and major moments among Woodward Copper’s core audiences.
  • Monitor social analytics and implement learnings to optimize channel performance.

Email:

  • Working with the Sr. Marketing Manager, develop monthly CRM plans in support of Woodward Copper’s brand, events, and business goals.
  • Prepare bi-weekly e-newsletters, targeted email campaigns, and automated email campaign content. Design graphic elements using Photoshop as needed, write copy, and build all email components. Working with the Marketing Manager, ensure accuracy of all links, logos, subject lines, body content, etc. and timely delivery to Woodward audiences.

Website:

  • Consistently maintain content on Woodward Copper’s web pages. Regularly audit webpages for accuracy, communicate with cross-departmental team members to gather and update information, and publish updates in a timely manner.
  • Prepare fresh content elements to support marketing initiatives, such as hero images, video embeds, etc.

Creative Asset Management:

  • Drive storytelling for the Woodward Copper brand and business through professional quality video and photo content.
  • Manage the Woodward Copper ambassador program and model roster. Identify, select, and build relationships with athletes/photographers/video creators to provide video and photo content for Woodward Copper’s channels. Manage each partnership, ensure all deliverables are met, and publish content in accordance with brand standards.
  • Manage daily photo and video requests both internally and externally; maintain working knowledge of new and existing assets to fulfill requests quickly and to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain photo and video content on the business’s Digital Asset Management system, uphold naming/filing/tagging standards, and organize backups of RAW and working files.
  • Manage the timely delivery, organization, and publication of content from all external photographers/videographers.
  • Capture professional quality photos and videos in support of the Woodward Copper business.
  • Organize photo/video shoots for marketing purposes, from athlete appearances and snow messaging to events and activities.
  • Assist with snowfall content capture for the resort.
  • Prepare professional quality videos for Woodward Copper advertising.
  • Manage seasonal shot lists and ensure all stakeholder expectations are met.

Content Team Support:

  • Support the Copper Social Media Coordinator, Videographer, and Marketing Manager with content capture and editing for Copper events, brand, snow, athletes, and other photos/video shoots as needed.
  • Contribute creative ideation and collaboration with the entire marketing team.
  • Oversee the summer Woodward Content Coordinator (summer seasonal employee) during Woodward Summer Camp. Build seasonal, weekly, and daily shot-lists and ensure fulfillment of all content needs. Supervise the Coordinator’s daily schedule and ensure their presence at all necessary Woodward Camp experiences. Guide in photo/video direction and provides feedback to help this person meet Woodward brand standards and be accountable to the needs of Woodward Camp stakeholders, including parents, pro athletes, marketing team members, park crew, and others.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to capture and edit professional quality photo and video
  • Ability to work with basic photo editing and design software for marketing purposes
  • Weekly schedule covers weekends; must be able to capture events as they are occurring

  • All salaried team members are expected to participate in the company’s Front Line Assist program to assist in operations as needed, as well as to participate in Leadership events such as meetings, required trainings, and participating in employee dinners/events

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Guides in photo/video direction and provides feedback to help this person meet Woodward brand standards and be accountable to the needs of Woodward Camp stakeholders, including parents, pro athletes, marketing team members, park crew, and others.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Expert skier or snowboarder capable of riding the entire mountain.
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • This position may require the use of a mountain radio/walkie-talkies for communication

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software including Premier.
  • Established photography and video portfolio preferred.
  • Professional working knowledge of digital SLRs preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in marketing and the resort industry.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in action sports.
  • Experience flying drones for video purposes. Drone pilot certification preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design.
  • Great understanding of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other social media tools and trends.
