The Vice President of Talent and Organizational Development creates, executes, and champions initiatives that develop and retain exceptional talent across Workiva. This individual leads a team that partners closely with stakeholders across the company to design and implement forward-thinking strategies that build skills and capabilities, drive employee engagement, and elevate organizational effectiveness while ensuring that our people strategy is aligned with our business needs and goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Enhance talent management strategies to retain and develop top talent while aligning with company goals and culture

  • Design and implement programs for performance management, career development, succession planning, and leadership growth

  • Provide strategic leadership for a global team of 10, setting clear roles, providing ongoing feedback and coaching, and driving continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with leaders and People & Culture teams to strengthen performance culture, values, and engagement

  • Oversee learning programs that are tailored to support business priorities, skill development, and career growth at all levels

  • Coach and advise senior leaders to drive leadership excellence and accountability

  • Embed inclusive practices into all talent strategies to foster belonging and a positive employee experience

  • Lead a sustainable employee engagement strategy, driving initiatives to enhance the employee experience across the entire lifecycle

  • Measure and report on talent management outcomes to key leaders and stakeholders

  • Evaluate and recommend tools, vendors, and technologies to optimize resources

What You’ll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, organizational development or equivalent

  • 15+ years in global talent management or organizational development with at least five years in a senior leadership role  

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification

  • Experience in a high growth, global B2B SaaS company with $1B+ ARR

  • Intellectually curious with a thirst for learning both the business and people

  • Self-starter with low ego, high EQ, and the ability to collaborate at all levels

  • Champions inclusion and values diverse perspectives in shaping workplace culture

  • Thrives in a global, matrixed environment, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution

  • Strong relationship builder with excellent active listening skills

  • Executive presence with outstanding presentation and facilitation abilities

  • Adaptable and responsive to change without compromising quality

  • Excels in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced environment

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • This position requires up to 20% travel 

  • Reliable internet access for remote work

How You’ll Be Rewarded

✅ Salary range in the US: $233,000.00 - $303,000.00

✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually

✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire

✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
