About this role
As VP of Product at Presence, you’ll lead product strategy and execution for a mission-critical platform that directly impacts millions of students’ lives. You’ll oversee multiple product areas serving diverse stakeholders—students, clinicians, educators, and administrators—while navigating the complex edtech and healthtech technology landscape.
This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about leveraging technology to expand access to essential services and improve educational outcomes for students with diverse needs.
Primary responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Execution
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with Presence’s mission to transform special education and mental health service delivery
- Competitive Positioning: Drive product differentiation strategies to maintain Presence’s market-leading position
- Revenue Impact: Partner with business stakeholders to ensure product initiatives drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
- Roadmap Management and Prioritization: Develop and maintain strategic product roadmaps across multiple product lines and stakeholder segments
- Platform Scalability: Lead initiatives to scale our technology platform users 100% YoY.
- Innovation: Champion the integration of emerging technologies (AI, machine learning, data analytics) to enhance therapeutic outcomes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Engineering Partnership: Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery
- Clinical Integration: Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure products meet therapeutic efficacy and professional practice standards
- Go-to-Market: Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive successful product launches and adoption
Team Leadership & Development
- Team Building: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing product management team
- Mentorship: Provide strategic guidance and career development for product managers and designers
- Culture: Foster a data-driven, customer-centric product culture aligned with Presence’s values
Customer & Market Focus
- Multi-Stakeholder Management: Balance needs of students, school administrators, and clinicians
- User Experience: Champion exceptional user experiences across all touch points
- Customer Research: Drive user research initiatives to deeply understand diverse stakeholder needs and therapy outcomes
- Success Metrics: Define and track key metrics for student outcomes, clinician effectiveness, and school satisfaction
What we’re looking for?
- 12+ years in product management with at least 5+ years in senior product leadership roles
- Proven track record managing products with multiple stakeholder groups and complex user workflows
- Healthcare or EdTech experience strongly preferred, with an understanding of regulatory requirements
- Platform experience managing enterprise software products serving thousands of users
- Scale experience leading product initiatives at companies with $100M+ revenue and/or rapid growth phases
Industry Knowledge
- Experience with multi-sided platforms serving both service providers and end consumers
- Familiarity with clinical workflows, therapeutic service delivery models, and collaborating with clinicians
- Knowledge of special education, mental health services, or K-12 education systems preferred
Leadership & Skills
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable roadmaps
- Data-driven decision making with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting to executives, boards, and diverse stakeholder groups. You show over just telling.
- Team leadership experience managing product managers, designers, and cross-functional initiatives
- Agile methodologies expertise with modern product development practices

An employee’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
Salary range is $220,000-250,000 per year.

- Presence is headquartered in New York City, with our clients located throughout the U.S.
- This position reports directly to the Chief Product Officer
- This is a remote work role for individuals based within the U.S.
- All employees commit to be available on-camera for our Core Working Hours noon-5 pm EST M-F.
- Standard business operating hours are 9 am-6 pm in the employees' respective time zone
