At Guild, we believe talent is everywhere and that opportunity should be too. We continue to have our home and headquarters in Denver, but we have embraced a distributed model of working to reach the best talent in the United States. While some roles may require proximity to our Denver office, roles based outside of our Denver office can sit in any of the following 32 states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI and Washington D.C. Please only apply if you are able to live and work full-time in one of the states listed above. State locations and specifics are subject to change as our hiring requirements shift. We typically keep job postings active for 3–5 weeks, though this may vary depending on applicant volume and other factors.

If you are an Internal Candidate, please apply via our Internal Job Board.

To thrive as a company and meet our impact goals, we must cultivate a culture of high-performance. We know managers are often the single-largest driver of employee satisfaction and growth, and our talent is our biggest asset. Because of that, we’ve identified consistent expectations for all of Guild’s people managers — helping you know what to expect from your experience here.

----

As the Vice President of Product for Guild Grow, you will serve as the Leader for Guild’s premier product line. You will own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and success of the Guild Grow product, ensuring it aligns with our mission to reshape education and upskilling in order to empower America’s workforce.

Reporting to the Chief Product and Technology Officer, you will be a deeply technical product leader who directs a dedicated, cross-functional team spanning Product Management, Design, Engineering, and Operations. You will be responsible for driving innovation, technical and operational excellence, and ultimately, market leadership and human impact for your product line.

While this role is remote, there is expected regular travel to our Denver office (and other locations as needed).

Why might you want to do this?

  • You thrive on the sweaty palms that come with your decisions materially impacting our trajectory and outcomes - for Guild, and for the people whose lives we are committed to changing. You don’t just want to be a part of it - you want to actively shape it.
  • You embrace the opportunity that comes with ambiguity, and you relish the challenge of discovering the best path forward, every day.
  • You love being challenged and pushed, and challenging and pushing others, in pursuit of the best outcomes.

What you will critically be responsible and accountable for:

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and continuously refine a comprehensive product vision and strategy for the Guild Grow product line, and drive execution against it.
    • Champion and execute a forward-thinking strategy for leveraging AI (including but not limited to Generative AI) and other new technologies within both the product and how your teams will leverage their use.
    • Establish and operate against an aligned set of KPIs and Leading Indicators measuring product, technical, and business performance.
    • Serve as a key member of the Product Leadership Team in the CPTO organization, as well as the broader Guild Extended Leadership team, engaging with cross-functional executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and other key leadership forums.
  • Team Development & Leadership
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, integrated team across product management, design, engineering, and operations.
    • Create an operating model that enables a high velocity of learning, efficient decision-making, and high-impact execution.
    • Develop senior leaders in the team to enable long-term growth and scale.
  • Product Line Management
    • Own the complete lifecycle of the Guild Grow product, including roadmap, vision, and technical execution.

What you will unequivocally bring to the table:

  • Product Leadership
    • 15+ years of product management experience showing growth in leadership remit.
    • Meaningful experience leading a significant product line or business unit, demonstrating substantial product/business growth.
    • Demonstrated development of senior product leaders.
  • Technical Leadership & Depth
    • You are a deeply technical product leader, comfortable diving into system architecture discussions, debating technical trade-offs with engineering leaders, and ensuring the product strategy is built on a sound and scalable technical foundation. You have a proven track record of earning the respect of engineering teams.
    • You possess deep strategic fluency in applying Generative AI (including LLMs) to solve complex user problems. You've moved beyond the hype to gain practical experience in shipping AI-powered features, and you understand the unique product development lifecycle, technical trade-offs, and ethical considerations involved.
  • Business Acumen
    • P&L fluency. You have proven experience or have operated in a role with full P&L and operational responsibility. You understand the levers of a business and can drive product success in alignment with financial and operational outcomes.
  • Data Fluency
    • You dream in metrics and outcomes, and can articulate how you will lead an organization to operate that way.
  • Product Marketing and GTM Acumen
    • A recognition that the success of any product is dependent on how you tell the story and take it to market. A deep understanding, likely borne out of hands-on experience, of what that entails.
  • Comfort with discomfort and ambiguity
    • You’ve seen ups and downs, and you’ve lived and led through change and transformation. You know how to maintain equanimity while never letting up on the push for better and more.
  • Domain Expertise
    • Actually, we’re not concerned about this. If you’re great at what you do, you’ll pick this up. We’d prefer that you don’t already have established answers to everything.

What the strongest candidates will also have:

  • Ability to Go Broad and Deep
    • Your ability to context switch orthogonally will stand you in good stead. As a leader in our product org, you need to be able to seamlessly operate across strategic, technical, operational, and other contexts. You can set the 3-year vision in the morning and dive deep into a technical or operational bottleneck with the team in the afternoon, identifying when and where your engagement is most needed.

We are committed to equal pay for equal work and believe in compensation transparency. This role offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary of $275,000 - $315,000, variable compensation, and stock options. Compensation offered will be based on a combination of factors such as experience, competencies, and internal equity.
