Are you a product leader who has turned payments into a revenue engine inside B2B software? Sidetrade is looking for a VP Product, to build and lead the development of our global payments business.

Reporting to the CPO, this is a newly created product leadership role at the centre of one of Sidetrade's biggest strategic bets. Hundreds of billions of dollars of B2B invoice value flow through Sidetrade platforms every year, and only a very small percentage is monetised through payment acceptance today. Your mandate is to change that: to take Sidetrade Pay from programme to product, and from product to a thriving payments business spanning our enterprise base on the Sidetrade platform and our SMB and mid-market base under the ezyCollect brand, across North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia and New Zealand.

About Sidetrade:

Sidetrade (Euronext Growth: ALBFR.PA) is an AI-native company dedicated to Order-to-Cash (O2C). Its platform combines O2C applications, autonomous AI agents, and Aimie IQ, an intelligent natural-language interface that helps multinationals accelerate their cash generation, all built on SAFE, the Sidetrade Agentic Framework for Enterprise. Sidetrade operates the world's largest proprietary O2C Data Lake, built on $9 trillion in B2B transactions and millions of buying companies. We use this data to train specialized AI models that monitor, analyze, decide, and act autonomously throughout the O2C cycle. Sidetrade supports companies in 85 countries with 450 employees across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.

We’re proud of our 38 nationalities, and these diverse perspectives drive our innovation, one-team culture, and customer-first mindset. Sidetrade has been positioned as a Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ Leader since 2022. We value passion over perfection. So, if you’re eager to learn and bring great energy, we want to hear from you. Be you. Grow with us.

Requirements

What you will do:

  • Own Sidetrade Pay end to end: Define the vision, strategy, roadmap, and commercial model for embedded payments across both business lines globally, and be accountable for payments revenue as a distinct line of business.
  • Payment monetisation: Design the pricing and packaging architecture across card acquiring, direct debits, and account-to-account rails, balancing merchant value, buyer experience, and Sidetrade margin, and evolving it as adoption scales.
  • Payment partner leadership: Own the relationship with our payment service provider partner(s): commercial terms, joint roadmap, performance against SLAs, and the decision framework for a future multi-provider architecture.
  • Adoption and activation: Build the engine that converts our installed base into paying merchants: ICP segmentation, activation playbooks with Sales and Customer Success, buyer-facing checkout experiences, and the levers that shift payment mix toward monetisable rails.
  • Embedded product experience: Ensure payments are woven natively into Sidetrade's Order-to-Cash workflows and ezyCollect's collection journeys, embedded, not bolted on.
  • Embedded finance roadmap: Sequence the expansion beyond acceptance into virtual cards, working capital, business accounts, and emerging agent-initiated payments, in step with partner capabilities and market readiness.
  • Risk, compliance, and trust: Partner with Legal, Security, and Finance on scheme rules, regulatory change across our four regions, chargeback and insolvency exposure, and the controls that let the business scale safely.
  • Team building: Hire and develop the payments product team, product managers, payments operations, and commercial analysts, and set the standard for product craft.
  • Executive alignment: Report progress and economics to the payments steering group and executive committee, with clear metrics on penetration, payment mix, take rate, and net revenue.
  • Market intelligence: Track the embedded payments and B2B payments landscape, PSPs, orchestrators, schemes, and regulation, and feed it into strategy and differentiation.

What you will bring:

  • Payments monetisation, proven: You have built or scaled an embedded payments business inside a B2B SaaS company and can speak first-hand to take rates, attach rates, payment mix, and the P&L mechanics of payfac, reseller, and referral models.
  • B2B payments depth: Fluency in card acquiring economics (interchange++, scheme fees, Level 2/3 data) and, critically, bank rails: ACH, SEPA, BACS, and real-time payments, because B2B invoices are won on more than cards.
  • PSP partnership experience: You have negotiated with and managed acquirers or payment service providers, and know how to hold them to commercial and roadmap commitments.
  • Commercial ownership: Experience carrying a revenue number or P&L for a payments or fintech product line, with the analytical habits to model penetration, mix, and margin credibly.
  • Enterprise and SMB range: You have shipped payment experiences for large enterprise merchants and high-volume SMB bases, and understand how the two motions differ.
  • Multi-region awareness: Working knowledge of the regulatory landscape across North America, the UK, the EEA, and ideally Australia (PSD2/SCA, surcharging rules, money transmission, safeguarding).
  • Cross-functional leadership: Proven ability to align Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance behind a payments vision, without owning them all.
  • Strong communication and influence: Exceptional storytelling for executive stakeholders, partners, and customers, with comfort presenting at board and C-suite level.
  • Team builder: Experience hiring and developing product managers, with a coaching mindset and high standards.
  • O2C or AR domain knowledge: Familiarity with Order-to-Cash, accounts receivable, or collections workflows is highly advantageous.

Benefits
  • Full remote – work from home.
  • Health & wellness – medical coverage, life insurance, 401k matching and other wellness programs.
