The Vice President, Mid-Market Sales is a strategic leader of leaders responsible for driving revenue growth and market penetration across our mid-market business. This role will lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of sales leaders who, in turn, manage high-performing Account Executive teams. We are looking for an experienced second-line sales executive with a demonstrated track record of leading through leaders, scaling high-performing sales organizations, and consistently delivering against ambitious revenue targets in high-growth B2B SaaS environments. 


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to mid market accounts and key market segments
  • Identify emerging market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and guide Account Executive strategy to differentiate AbsenceSoft's value proposition
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Mid Market Account Executives and sales leaders to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Coach, develop, and hire high-performing Account Executives, supporting onboarding and continuous skill development to build a strong talent pipeline
  • Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to identify growth opportunities and expand account penetration
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers in target organizations
  • Track sales performance metrics, provide forecasts, and report results to executive leadership
  • Implement and reinforce standardized sales processes, methodologies, and best practices across the teams
  • Represent AbsenceSoft at industry events, conferences, and client engagements to strengthen market presence


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise or mid market sales within SaaS or technology companies, including leadership of sales teams
  • Proven track record of leading leaders to meet or exceed revenue targets in complex B2B sales environments
  • Strong executive presence with experience engaging C-level and senior leaders
  • Expertise in sales strategy, pipeline management, and forecasting
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in HR technology, leave management, or enterprise SaaS solutions is a plus
  • Familiarity with scaling mid-market sales teams in high-growth companies is a plus
  • Experience aligning cross-functional teams to drive account growth and customer success is a plus
  • An advanced business degree (MBA) is a plus
  • Formal training in or understanding of sales methodologies like MEDDICC, Challenger, or Sandler is a plus

Compensation: Base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 annually + bonus/commission + benefits. The expected On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role is $369,600.


Final compensation is determined based on a candidate's relevant experience, skills, education, and geographic location.
