The MissionWe’re looking for a VP of Growth who will take full ownership of Freebird’s new customer acquisition goals. You will be responsible for delivering the planned volume of new customers each month while maintaining our first-order contribution margin target.
This role builds the operating system that unifies paid media, performance creative, and analytics into a cohesive, predictable, data-backed growth machine. You bring strategic clarity, senior judgment, and the operational discipline needed to scale one of the most important engines of the business.
This is a role for someone who loves the number, thrives in high-velocity environments, and knows how to create order, foresight, and momentum within a fast-moving growth function.
Hit New Customer Acquisition Targets
• Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly pacing
• Manage dynamic forecasts balancing spend, CAC, and margins
• Keep growth performance within ±5% of plan
Build the Growth Operating System
• Build structured growth plans across channels, markets, and audiences
• Integrate paid media, creative, and analytics into one unified operating rhythm
• Shift the culture from reactive to strategic using forward-looking models, not daily noise
Elevate Paid Media Rigor and Efficiency
• Lead paid media strategy across Meta, Google, YouTube, and emerging channels
• Implement disciplined testing and scaling frameworks designed for velocity and precision
• Maintain high spend velocity while protecting first-order contribution margin targets
Establish Creative Insights and Forecasting
• Build systems that connect real ad-level data to creative strategy
• Lead monthly insights on what’s winning, what’s fatiguing, and what’s next
• Partner with the Director of Performance Creative to align the pipeline 30–90 days ahead
• Ensure every creative output drives measurable business impact
Build Data Confidence and Analytics Maturity
• Build the analytics function with reporting, ownership, and clear cadence
• Standardize definitions for CAC, margins, and forecasting
• Make testing, incrementality, and modeling part of weekly operations
• Partner with Finance to connect insights to real revenue and costs
Provide Experienced, Stable Leadership Through Scale
• Bring calm clarity and senior judgment to a high-speed environment
• Build systems and processes that make growth predictable
• Mentor directors to think like operators, not executors
• Become the single source of truth for growth performance and direction
Requirements
- 7–10+ years leading growth at a high-velocity DTC brand
- Proven ownership of $20M+ annual acquisition budgets
- Deep expertise across Meta, Google, YouTube, and emerging channels
- Strong analytics fluency: forecasting, incrementality, MMM, attribution
- Track record hitting customer + margin targets at scale
- Experience building cross-functional growth operating systems
- Ability to translate performance insights into clear creative direction
- Strong financial acumen and partnership with Finance on pacing & CM
- Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary growth teams
- Brings calm, clarity, and senior judgment in high-speed environments
