What this looks like day-to-day
  • Demand generation and pipeline: Own demand generation strategy and execution across paid search, paid social, SEO/GEO, content-driven acquisition, and multi-channel campaigns. Build programs that generate qualified pipeline and improve the efficiency and predictability of growth.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Partner closely with Sales on pipeline handoff and conversion, with Product on growth features and activation, and with the CMO and CRO on GTM priorities and investment allocation. Bring a clear growth point of view to executive and operator-level decisions.
  • Marketing website performance: Own the marketing website as a core growth asset, including performance, conversion rate optimization, experimentation, lead routing, and continuous improvement of the buyer journey and demo experience. Partner with the CMO, VP of Product Marketing, and design team on UX/UI elements and product page content.
  • Paid creative strategy: Bring a strong point of view on paid creative and partner with the broader marketing team on evergreen paid assets and integrated campaign assets. Ensure the team tracks creative performance and understands why each asset wins or loses.
  • Marketing analytics and attribution: Build and maintain clear attribution models, dashboards, and reporting that give leadership accurate visibility into what drives pipeline and revenue. Use measurement infrastructure to guide prioritization, investment decisions, and budget efficiency.
  • Experimentation system: Establish a rigorous testing culture across acquisition, the website, onboarding, and lifecycle. Identify what works, scale successful tests, and create a system for continuous improvement.

  • Product-led and lifecycle growth: Drive activation, onboarding, time-to-value, retention, and expansion programs that increase product adoption and net revenue retention. Connect product-led and lifecycle motions to broader pipeline, revenue, and customer growth outcomes.
Who You Are

Beyond the qualifications, we hire through a specific lens. These aren't buzzwords; they're the things we'll actually look for in how you talk about your work.

You're a builder, not a maintainer.

You're most energized when there isn't a clear path yet, and you get to define it. You don't wait for direction; you identify gaps, shape solutions, and drive them forward. At Pendo, great VPs of Growth Marketing don't just follow instructions; they operate as strategic advisors, influencing decisions, guiding stakeholders, and elevating how we work.

You're AI-curious - genuinely.

You're not using AI tools occasionally. You're rewiring how you work around them. You're faster, sharper, and more prolific because of it, and you bring that energy to everything — how you approach your work, how you prep, how you communicate, how you think. We want someone who sees AI as a multiplier, not a shortcut.

Must-haves
  • 12+ years of experience in growth, demand generation, or revenue marketing within B2B SaaS, including significant leadership across performance channels and product-led or lifecycle motions.
  • Proven track record owning demand generation across paid search, paid social, SEO, pipeline generation, and other growth channels, with measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes at scale.
  • Direct experience managing marketing analytics, attribution, and website performance or conversion optimization.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to build measurement infrastructure and use data to guide prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and scale cross-functional teams while influencing across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to set clear priorities for executives and operators.
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience in product analytics, digital adoption, or developer/product tools companies.
  • Background scaling growth in hybrid self-serve and enterprise environments.
  • Experience with SFDC, Omni, Clari, and/or other AI-driven revenue analytics tools.
