Healthcare’s helping hand.
CHG shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model. We connect doctors with patients who need their care. As the largest physician staffing firm in America, our providers treat millions of patients each year.
Our industry is growing and demand is high. This means you’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in your career. Keeping healthcare healthy can be as fun as it is rewarding

Enterprise Client Solutions is looking for a VP, Business Development Executive to join our Business Development team. The Business Development team builds strategic partnerships with leading health systems by connecting their workforce needs with CHG Healthcare’s comprehensive Physician Solutions portfolio. As a VP, Business Development Executive on the Business Development team, you will serve as CHG’s senior field seller, building C-suite relationships in new and existing health-system accounts and converting those relationships into enterprise Physician Solutions partnerships. You will own complex opportunities from initial outreach through signed agreement while coordinating CHG executives and internal subject matter experts. This role will report to the SVP, Enterprise Client Solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and advance an enterprise pipeline by developing C-suite relationships within new and existing health-system accounts, maintaining pipeline coverage of three to four times quota.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial contact through negotiation and execution of master service agreements and multiyear contracts.
  • Identify and sell opportunities across CHG’s Physician Solutions portfolio, partnering with Product Sales Specialists and Advisory Services experts to develop integrated solutions.
  • Engage health-system CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CNOs, and CTOs as a trusted peer while coordinating strategic executive-to-executive engagement with CHG leaders.
  • Maintain disciplined and accurate opportunity, activity, and pipeline reporting within Salesforce Sales Cloud.

Qualifications:

  • Executive presence and the ability to build credibility, influence decisions, and communicate consultatively with health-system executives and board-level stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of health-system operations, workforce dynamics, clinical staffing economics, and the business pressures influencing executive decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate relationships and independently lead complex, multi-solution enterprise sales cycles lasting six to 18 months or longer.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing structures, contract frameworks, negotiation, and return-on-investment modeling.
  • Competitive, self-directed approach with urgency, resilience, sound strategic judgment, and accountability for producing new enterprise contracts.

Education & Years of Experience

  • Ten or more years of progressive enterprise sales or business development experience, including demonstrated success selling complex solutions to large healthcare organizations and engaging C-suite decision-makers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, sales, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Preferred skills

  • Experience selling complex healthcare solutions, including managed services, workforce management platforms, technology-enabled services, or strategic consulting.
  • Familiarity with health-system vendor governance, workforce utilization modeling, contracting, and program implementation.
  • Track record of expanding relationships across multiple business units or service lines and selling an integrated portfolio rather than individual products.
  • Experience deepening and defending enterprise relationships after contract execution.
  • Experience partnering with Account Management teams to support successful post-close handoffs and client transitions.
