Medable's mission is to get effective therapies to patients faster. We provide an end-to-end, cloud-based platform with a flexible suite of tools that allows patients, healthcare providers, clinical research organizations and pharmaceutical sponsors to work together as a team in clinical trials. Our solutions enable more efficient clinical research, more effective healthcare delivery, and more accurate precision and predictive medicine. Our target audiences are patients, providers, principal investigators, and innovators who work in healthcare and life sciences.

Our vision is to accelerate the path to human discovery and medical cures. We are passionate about driving innovation and empowering consumers. We are proactive, collaborative, self-motivated learners, committed, bold and tenacious. We are dedicated to making this world a healthier place.

1. Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Use Case Development

  • Drive Medable's clinical AI use case library — mapping agentic AI, predictive analytics, and digital capabilities to sponsor pain points across trial design, patient recruitment, data quality, monitoring, and regulatory submission.
  • Work collaboratively to define a prioritised AI use case roadmap, balancing near-term commercial wins with longer-horizon innovation investments.
  • Lead structured use case development programmes with pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO partners — from problem framing through value hypothesis, pilot design, outcome quantification, and commercial packaging.
  • Develop and maintain AI value frameworks that quantify the clinical and commercial impact of Medable's capabilities, including enrolment acceleration, protocol deviation reduction, data integrity uplift, and regulatory submission efficiency.
  • Translate platform capabilities — including autonomous agents, multi-agent orchestration, and human-in-the-loop workflows — into commercially articulate, audience-appropriate value narratives.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to relay field insights and influence the AI product roadmap.

Commercial Positioning & Go-to-Market

  • Develop differentiated AI value propositions for clinical research audiences, with clear articulation of how Medable's approach differs from competitor offerings.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to create AI-focused commercial materials: use case playbooks, ROI calculators, executive briefing decks, and RFP response content.
  • Support deal origination and expansion by participating in strategic customer conversations as a senior AI strategy subject matter expert.
  • Contribute to business case development for new AI product investments, providing market evidence and commercial rationale.

Customer Partnership & Value Realisation

  • Build trusted advisory relationships with Chief Digital Officers, VPs of Clinical Operations, and R&D Innovation leaders at key customer organisations.
  • Partner with Customer Account teams to embed AI use case development into strategic account plans, ensuring AI-specific value milestones are defined and tracked.
  • Establish and grow an externally recognised profile as an AI-in-clinical-trials thought leader through conference presentations, peer publications, advisory board participation, and industry working groups
  • Develop and publish white papers, use case playbooks, and frameworks that position Medable as the definitive partner for AI-enabled clinical development.
  • Monitor the competitive and regulatory AI landscape — including FDA/EMA guidance on AI/ML in clinical trials, ICH E6(R3), and CDISC AI initiatives — and advise internally on strategic implications.
  • Represent Medable at industry forums and customer advisory boards as an executive voice on the future of AI in drug development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
2. Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in clinical research, drug development, or health technology, including a minimum of 3–5 years with a specific focus on AI strategy, digital innovation, or data science applied to clinical development; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of developing and scaling AI or digital use cases with pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO organisations — with clear evidence of commercial impact.
  • Experience working across the full drug development lifecycle — early-phase design through late-phase, post-market, and regulatory submission.
  • Familiarity with decentralised and hybrid trial models and eClinical technologies including EDC, ePRO, eConsent, CTMS, and RTSM, sufficient to engage meaningfully with technical counterparts on AI deployment contexts.
  • Understanding of agentic AI architectures, LLM-based reasoning, and human-in-the-loop frameworks at a conceptual and strategic level.
3. Skills
  • Strong conceptual grasp of AI/ML capabilities relevant to clinical research sufficient to define credible use cases and engage technical teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen: ability to frame AI use cases in terms of trial cost reduction, timeline compression, data quality improvement, enrolment acceleration, and regulatory risk mitigation.
  • Outstanding facilitation and executive engagement skills — comfortable leading strategic discussions with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders at global pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including white paper authorship, conference presentation, and external advisory contribution.
  • Collaborative working style with the credibility to influence product, engineering, and commercial teams without direct authority.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset: able to define, track, and communicate value metrics at portfolio and account level.
  • Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced, globally distributed organisation with evolving priorities.
4. Education, Certifications, Licenses
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s degree (preferred).
5. Travel Requirements
