Duties We are seeking a Vice President, Supply Chain (VP SC) to join York’s senior leadership team and report to the Chief Supply Chain Officer. You will develop people on your team, establish and improve processes, leverage our ERP system to improve supplier execution and performance to program milestones, delivery, quality and cost objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will develop our supplier network, build long term supplier relationship, ensure timely development and industrialization of cutting-edge sub-systems and drive material cost rationalization. You will develop people on your team, establish and improve processes, leverage our ERP system to improve supplier execution and performance to program milestones, delivery, quality and cost objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Grow resilient network of long-term suppliers for bus and payload components in collaboration with Product Technology team.
- Manage supply base to ensure technology capabilities and production capacities are available to support the company’s product line and volume growth objectives.
- Support Business Development teams in preparing competitive customer proposals.
- Develop and execute plan for rapid onboarding of suppliers on contract award.
- Oversee supplier execution on development contracts for sub-systems with proactive risk identification and mitigation that lead to achievement of development milestones, industrialization and on-time delivery of hardware and software with on-spec. technical performance, on schedule, on budget with zero defects.
- Supervise efficient procurement of standard components, sub-assemblies and sub-systems to achieve technical performance, delivery, cost, quality objectives.
- Lead implementation of scorecards and performance management for all major suppliers that systematically improve year-over-year performance on relevant KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Drive projects to create second sources, move work to more capable suppliers and drive collaborative value capture at suppliers.
- Define ERP enhancements, lead adoption of system functionality to improve information visibility and data exchange with suppliers.
- Champion process management and continuous improvement of key functional processes, including Purchasing process, to drive agility, productivity and improved internal customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Finance team to achieve financial objectives including program and product cost.
- Partner with leadership team to drive strategic priorities that enable the company’s growth and development.
QUALIFICTAIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field with at least 20 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree preferred
- At least 15 years of experience leading supply chain teams, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Background in developing complex engineered systems at suppliers
- Record of building and managing long term supplier relationships
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, process improvement and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop high performing teams
- Strong communication, inter-personal and negotiation skills
- Experience with using ERP systems with suppliers
- Experience at large OEMs and start-ups preferred
- Background in Aviation or Aerospace is a plus
