What You'll Do
- Lead, develop, and scale the multi-regional Accounting, Revenue Accounting, Payroll, and Billing/Collections teams to support a rapidly growing, global SaaS organization
- Bring a strategic mindset to IPO readiness, helping to design and execute the accounting roadmap required for public company standards
- Champion the company’s comprehensive enterprise risk framework, serving as the primary owner for insurance renewals, international statutory compliance, and banking relationships
- Own key relationships with external auditors, banking partners, and tax authorities, running all associated operational confirmations and processes
- Prepare materials and support presentation to the Audit Committee, serving as the primary voice on technical accounting positions, risk exposure, and internal control certifications
- Drive readiness initiatives including SOX compliance, internal controls, audit preparedness, and process documentation
- Drive the timeline and execution of annual audits and quarterly reviews, ensuring high quality results and full readiness for future SEC reporting requirements
- Establish and refine accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP, with a strong focus on SaaS revenue recognition
- Manage the global tax structure, including transfer pricing studies, intercompany agreements, and VAT/GST compliance, ensuring effective international scaling
- Own revenue accounting processes, including ASC 606, contract review, and complex revenue arrangements. Manage unique customer and vendor contracting discussions in partnership with Legal and Deal Desk
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and scalability
- Ensure strong billing, collections, and cash application processes that support customer experience and financial integrity
- Own global cash positioning, bank account administration, and investment policy execution
- Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and tools as the company scales
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and RevOps to support contract structuring and revenue accuracy
- Partner with FP&A to ensure alignment between actuals, forecasts, and strategic plans
- Support M&A activity as needed, including accounting integration and purchase accounting
What We're Looking For
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within high-growth SaaS or technology companies
- Prior experience at a public company or leading accounting through IPO preparation and execution strongly preferred
- Deep expertise in revenue accounting for SaaS businesses
- Experience leading accounting at companies with multiple currencies, international legal entities, and active M&A
- Experience leading SOX implementation and operating in a public-company-ready control environment
- Proven people leader with experience building and scaling high-performing teams
- Strong technical accounting foundation with the ability to balance detail with strategic thinking
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and driving change
- Excellent cross-functional communication and executive presence
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual compensation range for this role, depending on individual candidate level and experience, is $225,000 - $275,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions.
