Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Underwriting Execution Analyst to provide strategic and operational support to the senior underwriting leadership team. This role goes beyond traditional administrative duties, serving as a trusted advisor, project manager, and liaison across functions to help drive underwriting priorities, monitor performance metrics, and ensure execution of key initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a blend of business acumen, communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, confidential environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support: Assist underwriting executives with planning and execution of departmental strategies, key meetings, and initiatives; support development and monitoring of business plans and goals.
  • Project & Initiative Management: Drive and track key underwriting projects and priorities to completion; ensure alignment across departments (e.g., Actuarial, Claims, Operations, Distribution).
  • Executive Communications: Draft, edit, and prepare internal and external communications, including presentations, reports, and business updates.
  • Information Management: Help synthesize performance data, dashboards, and reporting to support decision-making; coordinate analysis and insights from underwriting teams.
  • Meeting & Committee Support: Prepare agendas, materials, and follow-up actions for executive and underwriting leadership meetings; support governance and tracking for underwriting committees.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as liaison between underwriting leadership and other departments to ensure timely information flow, follow-up, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, reporting, and information sharing for the underwriting organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; insurance certification (e.g., CPCU, ARM) a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in underwriting or project management preferably within property/casualty insurance company
  • Strong understanding of underwriting, insurance operations, or risk management functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to draft professional correspondence and executive-level materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain discretion with confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with project tracking tools and performance dashboards a plus.
  • High attention to detail, critical thinking, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Salary: In New York City, the base pay range is $90,000.00 - 110,000.00. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
