Contract Context
To ensure uninterrupted readiness across five mission areas, Threat Tec’s Training and Development Specialist will build, manage, and assess training programs underpinning Brigade S3 operations for USSPACECOM, USSTRATCOM, and USNORTHCOM—replacing functions normally performed by officers and senior NCOs in Operations, Training, Standardization, and Evaluations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, schedule, and execute brigade-level training plans in line with Army Training Management System (ATMS) processes and FSO METL objectives.
  • Align training events with SMDC Standards & Evaluation programs and higher-echelon directives.
  • Create courseware, lesson plans, and practical exercises integrating space operations and BMDS/C2 capabilities.
  • Track individual and collective training status; generate readiness reports via DRRS-S and NetUSR.
  • Coordinate live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training resources, including simulators and classified environments (SIPR).
  • Conduct formal evaluations, produce after-action reviews, and implement corrective actions to sustain compliance and effectiveness.
  • Brief senior leaders on training performance, gaps, and recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Support Missile Defense Brigade (MDB) training initiatives and the 1st Space Brigade Organizational Inspection Program (OIP).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance on Day 1; SCI eligibility required.
  • General understanding of space-support operations at the brigade level or higher.
  • Deep familiarity with Army training management doctrine, tools, and reporting standards.
  • Proven experience building FSO METL–aligned training plans under the SMDC Standards & Evaluation framework.
  • Demonstrated expertise with DRRS-S and NetUSR readiness systems.
  • Knowledge of BMDS architecture and related C2 systems; completion of at least one of: Sensor Manager Qualification Course (SMQC)Sensor Manager Leader Development Course (SMLDC)C2BMC Planner’s Course (C2BMC-PC)THAAD Tactician/Technician/Follow-On courses
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and collaborative training platforms.
  • Completion of Space 200 and/or IJSTO experience is highly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; prior military training/development experience a plus.
