The Test Engineer III will develop and implement automated test systems to enhance production efficiency and validate product quality. This role involves defining, preparing, and integrating comprehensive test systems with corresponding documentation and test software. You will work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to ensure design for testability, build modular test solutions, and design electrical/digital test interfaces.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement automated test systems and software to improve production efficiency and validate product quality.
  • Define and prepare comprehensive test systems with corresponding documentation.
  • Develop test software for a manufacturing environment, suitable for use by peers and technicians.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to ensure test requirements are clearly defined.
  • Ensure design for testability considerations are implemented.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for existing production test equipment.
  • Determine program scope and cost determination.
  • Present test campaign plans, schedules, and results to customers.
  • Report and update test department metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of Proven experience.
  • Proficiency with Python and LabVIEW.
  • Proficiency with hardware/test equipment integration.
  • Experience with testing spaceflight hardware.
  • Experience in automated control and measurement systems.
  • Experience developing integration and test plans/procedures and reports.
  • Ability to handle moderately complex issues and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Proven Solid understanding of the subject matter.
  • Ability to handle moderately sophisticated issues and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3D CAD tools and data management
  • Instrumentation and controls, and data acquisition systems experience, with preference towards National Instruments hardware
  • Experience with automation for manual/labor-intensive processes including gearbox, motor, and actuator assembly testing, PCBA firmware flashing, PCBA safe to mate, etc.

 

Compensation Range for:

CO applicants is $107,707.00-$150,789.45
