Job Duties and Responsibilities
Staff Engineer- Software-DISH Network in Englewood, Colorado.
Work with IT internal and external Support and Delivery teams and internal clients. Provide support, technical design, development solutions, and best practices within the IT development team to deliver coordinated software solutions. Provide Information Technology solutions in Java, struts 2, and Spring technologies. Provide various services ranging from application architecture, development, day-to-day support, maintenance, and troubleshooting to improve, advance, and simplify the development process. Analyze information system requirements, create designs, and provide documentation by utilizing company specified tools and methodologies. Create applications from scratch, maintain existing systems, and provide user support. Maintain existing functionality and develop new features in web-based in-house custom and agent-based sales applications. Lead enterprise release projects by providing the level of effort of assignments, coordinating resources for development, analyzing complex business requirements, and producing high-quality design documents and code. Maintain and develop backend integration services interacting with Billing and Payment systems. Provide various services ranging from day-to-day support, maintenance, and troubleshooting to improve, advance, or simplify company business processes. Analyze and consume web services (SOAP/REST) employing Spring web service, Jersey, and Apache Axis APIs.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requires Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, and Computer Information Systems or a closely related field plus 6 years in the job offered or as Senior Applications Developer. Also requires 6 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
