We are on the hunt for a Technical Project Manager of Data to join our Engineering Team who has a knack for Agile project management, software implementation, budget management, and both technical and non-technical communication. The ideal candidate has an appetite for relentless improvement and is a champion of Agile/Lean practices that achieve delivery flow. As a tenured PM, you will be the linchpin of our efficiency, scalability, and team culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery processes for the data engineering and BI team.
- Ensure the data team’s roadmap is transparent, well-documented, and aligned with business priorities.
- Proactively manage cross-functional data requests, coordinating with stakeholders from product, engineering, marketing, content, and finance.
- Improve and maintain our intake process for data and reporting needs, helping triage, scope, and prioritize requests.
- Partner with stakeholders to embed BI representation early in the lifecycle of projects (e.g., feature launches, A/B tests, SEO projects).
- Help the team track and communicate progress, blockers, and dependencies across platforms
- Maintain a strong understanding of our data stack, key pipelines, and data warehouse structures to facilitate effective discussions and planning.
- Support delivery of foundational data projects such as event instrumentation, dashboard builds, data migrations, and tooling upgrades.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, Program Manager, or Scrum Master, with 2+ years working directly with data teams.
- Strong understanding of modern data infrastructure, tools, and workflows (e.g., Snowflake, Looker, Airflow).
- Hands-on experience leading sprint planning and Agile delivery for data engineering or analytics teams.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear action plans for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with SQL and basic data modeling concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing BI projects in a consumer-facing web environment.
- Background working with marketing analytics, experimentation, or content performance tracking.
- Familiarity with Jira, Asana, and Confluence for ticketing and documentation.
