Adios (https://sayadios.com/) is building the easiest way to say goodbye to your unwanted stuff—and feel great doing it. We're on a mission to make decluttering profitable and sustainable through resale, donation, and ethical disposal.
Role Overview
- Remote-first, at least 2-hours overlap with CDT required, starting at $18-22/hr based on experience
In this role, you’ll be the technical backbone for both our customer-facing and internal tools. Your mission: make things run smoother, smarter, faster, and built for scale. From AI-powered concierge tools to optimized Zapier flows, you'll ship high-leverage systems that keep us lean and delight our users.
This is a part-time role (20 hours/week) with the potential to expand to full-time, and grow with the company.
What You’ll Own
You’ll be responsible for building and scaling tools and systems that directly impact:
- Customer experience (intake forms, pricing logic, SMS flows)
- Concierge productivity (AI models, item routing logic, resale dashboards)
- Operational scalability (automation of manual workflows, dashboards, CRMs)
Key Deliverables
- Design and maintain our no-code and AI-powered internal systems (Zapier, Replit, Stripe, Twilio, Slack).
- We are tool agnostic, this is our current stack but we’re always open to better options that require less work or less cost
- Build an internal AI assistant for our Adios Resale Concierge—one that processes images of items and recommends next steps (resale, donate, recycle) with context.
- Support the rollout of a internal-facing dashboard for inventory tagging, basic CRM features, and historical customer data.
- Ship improvements to our payment and intake system (Stripe > Replit > Slack), including dynamic pricing and SMS feedback loops.
- Document all systems (Loom + Notion) for easy handoff and scaling.
- In phases we will build a robust customer backend to show users the journey of their items—like “Your couch found a new home in Austin’s Autism Classroom” or “You diverted 312 lbs of CO₂ from landfills.” This system will power gamification and eco-rewards (like a free Adios tote after 3 bag donations).
What You Bring
**Must-Haves
- 2+ years of experience in a startup or fast-moving environment
- Deep familiarity with AI tools, no-code platforms, and automation (Zapier, Replit, Twilio, Stripe, etc.)
- Comfort with APIs and systems-level thinking—you're a “glue layer” person
- Clear written communication and process documentation (Notion, Loom)
- Autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset—you ask the right questions and get stuff done
**Bonus If…
- You’ve personally flipped, resold, or donated items before
- You’ve worked in a marketplace, logistics, or circular economy business
- You’ve built internal tools that were used daily by ops or customer support teams
Soft Skills We Value
- Curious and creative problem-solver who finds workarounds and new paths
- Clear communicator across tools and time zones
- Action-oriented—you figure things out and follow through
- Prioritizes efficiency over hours spent—we care about outcomes, not effort
- Brings proactive ideas, honest feedback, and pride of ownership
Ready to build systems that help people say goodbye to clutter—and hello to cash, calm, and doing good?
