ABOUT ROOTSTOCK

Rootstock Software builds Cloud ERP for manufacturers, distributors, and supply chain teams, native to the Salesforce Platform. Our customers run inventory, production, and supply chain operations on Rootstock, and we are investing heavily in AI across the product and our go-to-market.

THE ROLE

We are hiring a technical, hands-on marketer to own paid acquisition and the growth engine behind roughly half of our top-of-funnel pipeline.

This role is built around budget ownership. You will run hundreds of thousands of dollars in Google Ads and AdRoll spend, decide where every dollar goes, and scale what works. You will also be the builder behind it: shipping pages, experiments, and automation in Claude Code, and running technical SEO, without waiting on an engineering queue.

It is a great fit for a digital or growth marketer a few years into their career who already owns paid budgets and leans technical, or for an associate-level consultant who has run strategy and execution for clients and wants to own it in-house.

This is a remote position, based in the United States or Canada.
Please, no agencies/recruiters.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own paid performance. Run Google Ads and AdRoll against our ICP terms and target accounts, scale spend into the hundreds of thousands, and make incremental spend decisions backed by data.
  • Drive technical SEO and conversion. Find which terms and accounts convert to MQLs, run constant experiments, and grow top-of-funnel conversion week over week.
  • Build in Claude Code. Ship and iterate on web pages, integrations, and automation that power the growth engine.
  • Measure what works. Track performance across every channel, build the reporting you need to make spend decisions, and present results to leadership with confidence.
  • Shape AI and review-site discoverability. Manage our presence on G2 and similar review sites, including how Rootstock gets surfaced and recommended by AI tools.
  • Support content and campaigns. Contribute to case studies, sales enablement collateral, and persona-basedoutbound email and LinkedIn sequences as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

The profile below is what we would like to see, but we are open to the right candidate. Strong analytical ability, theability to learn quickly, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute from day one matter more thanchecking every box.

  • Ideally 3 to 5 years in growth, digital, paid, or performance marketing at a startup or B2B software company, or in an associate-level consulting role focused on marketing strategy and execution
  • Direct ownership of ad spend and paid budgets in Google Ads, AdRoll, or similar, with accountability for results
  • A technical, builder mindset: you are already experimenting with Claude Code or similar AI tools, and you are comfortable with automation, spreadsheets, SQL, or scripting
  • Technical SEO experience, including keyword strategy and conversion optimization
  • An analytical brain: you make spend decisions from data, not instinct
  • A scrappy, high-ownership approach; you are comfortable running many experiments at once and grinding through the daily numbers
  • Executive presence: you can own a number that matters to leadership and communicate results clearl

NICE TO HAVE

  • Agency, consulting, or freelance experience managing paid budgets across multiple clients
  • A founder or first-marketing-hire background at a startup
  • Experience with ERP, supply chain, inventory, or manufacturing software
  • Incrementality or A/B testing on paid channels
  • Experience with G2 or other product review platforms
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or Hubspot

FIRST 90 DAYS

The headline goal: scale our digital ad investment and prove it pays off.

  • Day 30: Audit current paid, SEO, and conversion performance, learn the ICP and target accounts, and get your reporting baseline in place.
  • Day 60: Launch your first wave of experiments across Google Ads, AdRoll, and technical SEO, and start reallocating spend toward what converts.
  • Day 90: Run a scaled, measurable ad program with a clear line from spend to MQLs, and a roadmap for what you will build next.
