Technical Intern
Program Summary
KBR is seeking a Technical Intern to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO. The Intern will be responsible as a part-time college/university technical student for entry level Space and EW research and development. The selected candidate will support multiple projects from a hands-on standpoint.
Job Summary
The Intern will work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment amongst professionals within an engineering environment. Under the supervision and mentorship of technical personnel, this intern will be introduced but not limited to processes, procedures, and tools to efficiently perform hardware research and integration, component research, and engineering documentation.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Learn details of and function within our cross-functional team
• Review and update documentation
• Research and identify parts, components
• Support IR&D, general design research
• Provide support to the Special Programs Team during onsite or remote system integration efforts
• Manage data Bills-of-Material, quotations, drawings, technical data sheets, etc.
• Assist with integration and equipment installations
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a four-year university, pursuing a technical degree
Preferred Qualifications
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00
• Able to work a minimum 20 hours per week during the semester, 40+ hours during the summer
· Able to perform integration tasks (hardware integration, equipment installations, tools)
Salary Range: $20-$30/hr
The salary range posted is for Colorado Springs, CO. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
