Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary responsibilities include providing Tier III support for maintaining a secure environment. The supporting infrastructure includes servers, computers, software and other devices/peripherals on standalone and/or secure government networks.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshooting application functionality, crash and performance. 
  • Investigate user performance and work with external teams to improve user experience. 
  • Assists customer with Tier III incident resolution of Linux, Windows, Apple, and other software applications. 
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system incidents with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions.   
  • Communicate effectively (both oral and written) with variety of individuals. Work well in small and large team environments. 
  • Respond to escalated service/team requests and exhibits ownership until resolved or closed. 
  • Willingness to provide initial tirage, response, and notifications for incidents. 
  • Participates in special projects as required. 
  • Ensure that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.  
  • Train staff in how to use software and hardware. 
  • Install, configure, modify, and maintain system hardware and software.  
  • Diagnose and recommend fixes to problems or potential problems with the network and its hardware, software, and systems.  
  • Ensure the stable operation of the servers, computers, software, and network connections. 
  • Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network software and communication links. 
  • Analyze and resolve software program and connectivity issues. 
  • Assist in system design, development, and implementation. 
  • Familiarity and ability to utilize ServiceNow ticketing system and process.   

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


Experience:

  • 3 years of experience serving as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation point of contact and coordinating with OEM/vendor (Tier 4) support is preferred.  

Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+ 
  • Windows Administrator Cert/Training 
  • Milestone Certified Engineer (MCDE) preferred
  • Lenel Certified Professional (LCP) preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalency: Associate's degree plus 2 additional years of experience, or a total of 8 years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Clearance:

  • Must possess a Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00.  The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
