Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Intern. The Internship will run from now through end of year, with the potential for it to be extended based on performance and business needs. You will be able to work up to 40 hours a week. This will be a remote position but some occasional onsite work at any of our USA based locations may be required. 
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide support to Legrand’s sustainability and CSR efforts. Successful candidates will have a strong interest in sustainability and/or data management, an understanding of current global environmental challenges, and the desire to learn about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). 
The Sustainability Intern will work under the supervision of the sustainability team supporting carbon reduction initiatives across Scope 1, 2, and 3. This includes but is not limited to: energy efficiency projects; environmental metrics reporting and data analysis; Scope 3 supply chain emissions support; and supplier development activities, including training, reporting, and communication on energy efficiency and carbon reduction strategies. 
The objective of this assignment is to support the corporate sustainability team on both internal Scope 1 & 2 operations initiatives as well as Scope 3 supplier development in support of Legrand’s sustainability and CSR ambitions. Projects can range from developing sustainability tool-kits for business teams to sustainability benchmarking, managing and analyzing a centralized Scope 1 & 2 platform to drive value and accurate reporting across the organization, developing sustainability training content, conducting onsite energy audits, and sustainability reporting. The candidate can expect to develop skills in: data management and analysis, cross-functional teamwork, written and oral communications, as well as gain exposure and understanding trending sustainability topics in the business environment including sustainable procurement, sustainable manufacturing, and carbon emission reduction strategies. 
Responsibilities

Responsibilities will Include

  • Manage & maintain centralized Scope 1 & 2 reporting platform across all manufacturing, warehouse & office locations to support annual CSR reporting process
  • Support operations sustainability projects (Scope 1 & 2) like training content development for operations teams, facility energy treasure hunt initiatives, facility sustainability best practice guide development, etc.
  • Support supplier development initiatives (Scope 3) including creation and delivery of carbon related training content to Tier 1 suppliers 
  • Support supply chain (Scope 3) sustainability initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation of sustainability reports and presentations
  • Provide support to cross-functional teams working to enhance Legrand’s interaction with customers on sustainability
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated data analysis and data management skills
  • Well-developed organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Experience with CoPilot or similar AI programs  
  • Pursuing or completed a degree in sustainability, data management, business, engineering, or a related field
