WHY: The Global Manufacturing Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) Process & Standards supervisor is critical for improving the overall quality of GM products. This role helps reduce warranty and improves E-FTQ at all North America (NA) GM facilities by preventing defects through the entire electrical architecture of vehicle. This role supports plants by assisting them in their journey to achieving E-FTQ goal by implementation of Electrical BoO Process & Standards. The Electrical BoO outlines processes that have been proven to reduce warranty and aid in the proper assembly practices to protect our customers.
WHAT: As an Electrical Bill of Operations Process & Standards Supervisor, you will lead a team to support vehicle assembly plants in executing the electrical BoO to "Inspire customer confidence in every GM product, starting with the very first vehicle."
HOW: This role has an integral impact by facilitating a team to build a solid structure of standards and processes, pushing suppliers to improve products provided and working with cross functional teams to improve testing builds a solid foundation that will protect the customers. This role facilitates a team of Electrical Subject Matter Experts to provide onsite support at every plant in North America based on need.

  • Oversee a team of global manufacturing electrical operations subject matter experts to provide coaching, training, and implement the electrical Bill of Operations across all GM vehicle assembly plants.
  • Update, maintain, and communicate electrical BoO standards to ensure clarity and correct execution.
  • Establish relationships with plant leadership to facilitate engagement and implementation of the electrical BoO.
  • Develop strategies and action plans to achieve EFTQ targets and ensure full BoO compliance at all vehicle assembly plants.
  • Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
  • Oversee a team of global manufacturing electrical operations subject matter experts to provide coaching, training, and implement the electrical Bill of Operations across all GM vehicle assembly plants.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle manufacturing
  • Extensive hands-on experience with End-of-Line test stations (e.g., DVT Coordinator, Module QE, Diagnostician)
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes
  • Advanced analytical skills for solving complex and uncommon problems
  • Proven experience in both production and quality functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and facilitate teams effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop people
  • Collaborative team player with experience in cross-functional environments
  • Familiarity with electrical architectures and systems

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical manufacturing processes
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle program launches
  • Background in electrical engineering or related technical field
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
