About This Role:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is designed to optimize the value derived from our strategic supplier relationships at Crusoe. Working in support of other business leaders and in conjunction with Supply Chain, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will focus on Capital Projects Sourcing, Competitive bidding, RFx management, and Statement of Work creation.
The role’s responsibilities are to support the Source-to-Award process and will primarily interface with project engineers, internal counsel, and suppliers.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Directs and provides leadership to internal procurement staff related to strategic sourcing and cost savings initiatives.
Manages and supports corporate policies, metrics, and strategic initiatives.
Oversees relationships with internal procurement to identify problems and provide solutions.
Ensures that Cloud and the Digital Infrastructure Team processes, procedures, and initiatives are aligned with supply chain partners to ensure continuity within our Digital Infrastructure Group and our Cloud group.
Supports quality and on-time delivery metrics, and supports our OKRs.
Drives consistency and standardization across sourcing engagements by leveraging best practices and tools to improve business outcomes.
Manages working sessions that promote collaboration, achieve synergy, and achieve desired outcomes.
Supports the contract management team during contract negotiations.
Effectively engages and builds effective working relationships with strategic suppliers. Supports the Sourcing Manager in monitoring the performance of suppliers and applies appropriate tools and techniques to ensure expected contractual outcomes.
Continuously works to improve the quality of service from our strategic suppliers, as well as increasing the overall value of the service and satisfaction to our internal customers.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Strong business acumen with a strong understanding of large capital projects exceeding $1 billion.
Ability to learn and understand Cloud/Data Center infrastructure, the engineering involved, and the surrounding ecosystem.
Minimum of +5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, or procurement.
Strong communication, change management, and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated effectiveness in building and maintaining relationships between suppliers and internal stakeholders. Possesses the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and staff internally and externally.
Some level of experience with contracts, negotiations, and structuring agreements.
Strong risk management assessment skills.
Is a strategic thinker who is action-oriented, driven to succeed, and results-oriented.
Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen.

Compensation:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $155,000 - $175,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
