As a Strategic Sourcing Manager in Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, you’ll be responsible for: developing and leading strategic sourcing events; writing and negotiating contract terms and documents; and analyzing spend associated with specific indirect spend categories. You will develop sourcing strategies that positively impact bottom-line results/value while minimizing risks, foster internal and external relationships, and work with internal stakeholders to educate and promote the procurement policies. You will report to a Director of Strategic Sourcing.  

Role Description

  • Simultaneously Lead indirect sourcing initiatives for a multitude of Supply Chain/Operations Products & Services, as well as building successful sourcing strategies, driving strategic improvements, and delivering on operational targets, savings goals, and business strategies 
  • Conduct total cost modeling and sensitivity/scenario analysis to help team members understand trade-offs and benefits to multiple outcomes  
  • Assist with the analysis and planning for various components of indirect spend categories to ensure operational success and results 
  • Use sourcing tools to support departmental efforts to refine and improve procurement processes and policies 
  • Develop and manage relationships with business stakeholders and provide regular project status updates 
  • Partner with multiple corporate functions (e.g., Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Legal, etc.) as part of your sourcing projects and related activities 
  • Review, revise, and negotiate contract language  
  • Assist in the development and management of strategic and complex contract renewals 
  • Engage in supplier relationship activities (e.g., regular business reviews, vendor score carding, etc.) 
  • You will take ownership of projects and bring them to completion understanding that the results will have an impact on the department's goals 

Key Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree preferably in supply chain management, engineering, or business 
  • 5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing for Supply Chain/Distribution Center Services, Packaging and Customer Supplies, Facilities Services, and other Operational Products & Services  
  • Demonstrated capabilities of leading sourcing projects, contract negotiations and authoring, and driving savings/value  
  • Strong relationship-building, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, motivational, and influencing skills; coordination across related disciplines and with key stakeholders 
  • Experience coordinating teams, collecting insights, and constructively challenge internal stakeholders with conventional thinking 
  • Understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes, sourcing tools, and strategies 

Preferred Qualifications (nice to haves):

  • Experience sourcing and contracting for facilities services, restaurant operations, and call center operations
  • Experience in the luxury retail market
