DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

The Strategic Account Manager holds a pivotal position within the NA Sales department, tasked with overseeing and expanding the relationships with our largest partners. This role requires a sophisticated understanding of the market dynamics, excellent communication and relationship management skills, and the ability to master the organizational complexity of those key partners. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving significant sales growth, crafting sales strategies, and ensuring a consistent and tailored approach to partner management. This individual will work closely with senior leadership of NA and other global geographies as needed, providing insights into market trends and partner needs, and playing a key role in shaping the company's sales and partnership strategies.

This role will report to the Regional Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities of a Strategic Account Manager:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement effective sales strategies that accommodate the diverse needs of partners. Achieve ambitious sales targets through strategic planning, direct selling, and leveraging other regional teams.
  • Comprehensive Partner Management: Act as the main point of contact for the company's largest and most strategically significant partners. Manage complex relationships across different functions, ensuring alignment to increase market share.
  • Market Analysis and Adaptation: Maintain an expert-level understanding of  market trends, partner industries, and competitive landscapes. Use this knowledge to adapt sales strategies, anticipate partner needs, and position the company as a key strategic actor in its markets.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop detailed account plans for each partner, outlining strategies for engagement, sales growth, and retention. Regularly review and adjust these plans to reflect market shifts and partner evolution.
  • Leadership and Influence: Serve as a sales leader within the NA Sales department, influencing sales strategies and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Strategic Account Manager:

  • Extensive experience in complex sales or account management, with a demonstrated track record of managing large partner relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the dynamics and the US IT distribution market
  • strong relationships with large national and regional cybersecurity VAR’s and System Integrators.
  • Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills, capable of developing and executing complex sales strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and partners.
  • Leadership and team development experience, with the ability to mentor and guide regional sales teams towards achieving sales objectives.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Sales, or a related field, with a preference for advanced degrees or professional certifications relevant to global businesses.
