This role is based in Micron’s Longmont, CO location and is part of a high‑impact, forward‑looking team advancing next‑generation memory and storage solutions. As a System Design / Architect Engineer – SSD, you will lead customer qualification efforts for Micron’s latest 7550 and 7600 SSD products, working closely with cross‑functional teams and customers.

This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with world‑class engineers in a highly innovative and fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer evaluations for Micron 7550 and 7600 SSD products using systems and servers supplied by customers.

  • Conduct system and device level testing, debug & triage Micron device issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.

  • Design and implement SSD testing infrastructure to improve productivity and efficiency.

  • Partner with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and other engineering groups to develop and implement validation strategies.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for validation on customer test requirements and industry certifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Systems Design/Architect Engineer-related roles.

  • Experience in evaluating customers for SSD/HDD products.

  • Experienced in product validation for SSD/HDD.

  • Working knowledge of NVMe/SATA protocols.

  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile product development processes.

  • Proven project management skills.

  • Knowledge of quality and process improvement methodologies and tools (Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, FMEAs, DMAIC).

  • Ability to define, plan, and complete test automation strategies.

  • Strong analytical skills to review and challenge current test plans and drive efficiency.
