The Staff System Engineer will provide technical support for Linux systems, automate tasks, drive system enhancements, and monitor the health of Unix/Linux environments, requiring experience in scripting and virtualization.

Minimum Qualifications:• 3-5 years managing enterprise RedHat Unix/Linux solutions, preferably large scale• Experience ranging from three to five years in scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.)• Experience ranging from three to five years with virtualization (vmware)• Experience ranging from two to three years with computer hardware/maintenance in the data center• Ability to lift 50lbs!
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience supporting servers in the cloud preferred• Proficient with LDAP configuration and management• In-depth knowledge of Redhat Kickstart and configuration management tools (puppet preferred)• Proven skills in automating systems services and tasks to streamline service and ensure consistency• Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex problems as well as a strong drive for continuous improvement as well as
demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service
Other desirable skills:• FlexLm licenese management• Project management experience• Experience with revision control systems• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal)
