What you’ll be doing:
Regularly tackle the largest and most complex problems on the team. Serve as a technical leader on cross-functional projects.
Have to work with limited visibility of requirements, carry out independent research and experiments and collaborate with User eXperience (UX) and Product Managers to come up with the requirements.
Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
Exert technical influence to help teams build highly available, reliable and performant solutions by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.
Work alongside other Principal Engineers and Architects to drive a shared strategy across our teams
Partner across engineering as well as product management teams to empower initiatives that will impact and benefit multiple teams
Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals on advanced technical issues
Balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices.
We’re looking for:
12+ years experience as an engineer and leading complex engineering projects
Experience with cloud technologies, Micro services, SAAS architecture
Strong knowledge of Go and familiarity of Java, Typescript or other programming languages
Domain expertise of Apple/Windows/Android Device Management and policy enforcement
MDM & Endpoint Expertise: Deep domain knowledge of Device Management architectures (policy management, enrollment, Apple Push Notification service) across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android.
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions).
Experience of working in a distributed systems environment, Databases
Experience with Designing/architecting solutions involving various services, front end and Database
Strong leadership and collaboration skills to help technically drive and oversee complex projects on multiple teams from conception to completion
Ability to work with ambiguity and drive clarity while delivering incremental value
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong technical foundation in software engineering design principles
Experience working with geographically diverse engineering teams in today’s remote first work environment
