Key Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for a scalable, long-term user experience vision, while balancing a tactical strategy for the shorter-term roadmap

  • Partner with thought leaders across Netflix to identify business opportunities, and help illustrate the user experiences that capture these opportunities

  • Drive the evolution of Podcasts on Netflix, by crafting  a scalable end to end UX design vision framework that delivers immediate impact across related business verticals

  • Be a thought leader in thinking about how new content can be integrated into the Netflix portfolio to create more choice for our members

  • Ensure quality of craft and design, and cohesion across all platforms, partners, and offerings

  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary team members to define this new area of business

  • Lead a human-centered design strategy (from start to launch) that fosters company-wide alignment and clearly articulates your vision in advocating for our global member needs.

  • Innovate to meet new business and member needs while both leveraging and contributing to the growth of the overall design system, while clearly accounting for scalability.

Skills, Characteristics & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience designing user experiences for consumer-facing products

  • Exceptional communication skills, in writing and verbally, whether in small group discussions, large-scale presentations, or with executives

  • Deep expertise in the engagement patterns of podcasts

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partner teams on video promotion strategies/campaigns

  • Demonstrated success in driving 0-1 initiatives forward, as well as shipping products and leading projects to successful outcomes for global users and the business

  • Strategic thinker who can articulate a compelling product vision

  • Skilled at connecting the dots across related initiatives and fostering cross-functional collaboration

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and distilling complex, unstructured opportunities into actionable roadmaps that integrate user, technology, and business needs

  • Proven ability to deal with complex initiatives with deadlines and requirements from various teams, while not losing sight of long-term experience goals

  • Strong systems thinker with the ability to effectively integrate individual business needs into a holistic design system approach. 

  • Known for high-quality craft and detailed execution of designing patterns across multiple UI platforms. 

  • Skilled in Figma’s advanced features, such as Autolayout, Components/Variables, DevMode, Responsive Prototypes, etc

This role is based in the United States, ideally on the west or east coasts. You should expect to travel monthly to meet with your teams, stakeholders, and partners.

Pay Transparency

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is  $240,000 - $725,000

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
