This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Responsibilities may include accounts payable, sales & use tax, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations. The role will also assist with financial reporting, special projects, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close
- Oversee accounts payable process
- Manage daily cash and bank reconciliation
- Prepare monthly sales & use tax returns
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements.
- Support the external audits and prepare audit-ready documentation.
- Work with Project Management to obtain and review time-tracking data
- Complete ad hoc financial analysis and special projects, as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry accounting experience
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
- Experience with biotech, pharma, or R&D-heavy organizations
