CLA is looking to hire a Staff Accountant for our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice who can sit in our Denver, CO office location. The position is also open in Colorado Springs, or Salt Lake City. Our CAAS team helps our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs.

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

  • Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

  • Complete month-end and other quarterly and annual processing.

  • Day to Day Transactions: Coordinates & processes accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.

  • Month End Processing: Completes basic financial statements. Coordinates and completes account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals.)

  • Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s and other forms or items as requested by clients.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • One to two years of experience providing accounting and financial services is preferred, exceptions can occur based on work to be performed.

  • Technical knowledge of QuickBooks and other applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
The compensation range for this position in Colorado is $60,000 to $99,000
