Job Description
NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. In this role, you will support the Ad Sales business's One Platform strategy, a multi-year vision to reimagine how publishers and advertisers transact. We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to oversee critical pricing, planning, and ad optimization initiatives in the TV Simplification space.
As part of the TV Simplification product team, you will be responsible for delivering solutions that enable the Ad Sales business to sell and deliver audience-based campaigns across both linear and digital distribution endpoints. You will own the roadmap, requirements gathering and definition, backlog, and drive overall delivery across engineering, product, and strategy teams.
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Define and own overall product vision, strategy, and success metrics for initiatives in the TV Simplification space.
  • Partner with stakeholders and engineering teams to define product roadmap, ensuring appropriate prioritization and alignment against company objectives.
  • Be a strategic partner to business leads, explaining technical tradeoffs to maximize immediate value to the business.
  • Write comprehensive user stories in JIRA, capturing business context and detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the technical solutions adhere to company standards.
  • Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to optimize team performance and product delivery.
  • Manage the entire end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring efficient processes and timely delivery on commitments.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker on product features and priorities, balancing business goals with technical feasibility.
  • Present operational updates to executive leadership, keeping both tactical and strategic themes in mind.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a product management or technical product management role or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, CS preferred.
  • Proven ability to set a compelling vision, excite, and lead cross-functional product development teams.
  • Experience delivering quality software or technical solutions, leveraging agile principles and methodologies.
  • Strong technical background to effectively engage in discussions with architects and engineers, guiding technical decision-making.
  • Experience in the media marketplace or within an Ad Tech organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of driving ideas from concept to launch.
  • Ability to work autonomously, lead initiatives, and manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Broad technical breadth and depth, including proficiency in API design, systems integration, CI/CD, release planning, and cloud infrastructure.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Direct experience within Ad Sales Technology, with specific expertise in planning, trafficking, and ad optimization.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising and associated ad tech platforms.
  • Previous experience in a remote work environment, managing distributed teams effectively.
  • Advanced understanding of technical concepts and emerging trends in software development and technology infrastructure.


Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee's residence.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
