The Position
Kaufman, Hall & Associates, LLC, is seeking a Sales Operations Sr. Specialist to play a key role supporting Kaufman Hall’s Consulting business and sales operations. This individual will perform a critical sales enablement function as part of a team that oversees the development, review and approval of client-facing proposals and contracts during the sales process.
This role requires strong proposal development and contracting skills and experience, attention to detail, quality control, customer service and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams while building credibility with internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. In addition, the right individual will help identify, recommend, and implement improvements to continuously streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with a strong background and interest in sales operations, professional services, and healthcare. This full-time position is based in Denver or Chicago.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, editing, formatting, and quality review of client-facing proposals, statements of work, contracts, and related sales materials
- Draft, edit, and review contracts supporting Consulting project sales opportunities
- Collaborate with Legal contract review team to facilitate risk mitigation
- Ensure alignment between proposal documents and CRM opportunity details, including project pricing, scope, delivery plan, and approval requirements
- Facilitate Consulting leadership proposal review and approval processes
- Manage internal client expectations and keep stakeholders apprised of status, timing, and outcomes
- Manage the request intake process and a revolving portfolio of proposal review requests
- Utilize and contribute to Kaufman Hall’s CRM as it relates to proposal review and approval processes
- Review proposal materials for accuracy, consistency, completeness, professional presentation, and alignment with Kaufman Hall standards
- Coordinate across Consulting, Legal, Finance, Sales Operations, and practice leadership to resolve questions related to pricing, scope, terms, approvals, and documentation requirements
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction by identifying opportunities during the course of daily work
- Leverage available technology, CRM tools, document management systems, and AI-enabled resources to improve proposal development workflows, consistency, and cycle times
- Help identify opportunities to standardize, automate, or streamline recurring proposal review activities
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for Consulting staff as it relates to proposal development, review, and approval
- Maintain operational workflows through compliance with internal policies and approval processes
- Assist in the development and/or delivery of training materials and content, as appropriate
- Support maintenance of approved proposal language, contract templates, standard terms, reusable content, and related process documentation
- Collaborate with Consulting, Legal, and other stakeholders
- Document key processes and workflows in standard operating procedure instructions, job aids, etc. to help communicate and align key stakeholders to expectations
- Contribute to other special and ongoing projects including, but not limited to: proposal content management, contract template and content management, contract management system / repository optimization, and reporting
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a background in contracting operations – preferably in healthcare and/or professional services / consulting industries. In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in contracting (business operations, sales support, or related sales enablement roles
- CRM experience – Microsoft Dynamics preferred
- Pricing / deal configuration experience or, at a minimum, facility with pricing as it relates to contract review and approval
- High level of technical proficiency, particularly with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects (contracts) while meeting deadlines
- Exceptional customer service focus, a professional demeanor, and a positive and engaging presence
- Strong teamwork and organizational abilities with great attention to detail and superior verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced and fluid work environment with the ability to be flexible
- Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality, and great judgment when managing highly sensitive material

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required

Work Environment
- Travel Required: Occasional 0-10%
- The role is based in Denver or Chicago, and requires 3 days per week in office.
- Work is regularly performed in a combination of home office in and office settings, and routinely uses standard office equipment
- It may require the maintenance of a home office and proximity to an airport for work-related travel
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $65,000 to $115,000.
