Job Summary

The Sr. Solutions Architect - Services Presales - Azure plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, shaping our service offerings, and collaborating with clients to design tailored solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, coupled with strong client-facing and presales skills.
This individual will be responsible for identifying opportunities, crafting service solutions, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful outcomes.

Role Description

  • Design, develop, and position services-focused solutions for public and hybrid cloud. (primarily Microsoft Azure 
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify client challenges and align services to meet their needs 
  • Lead workshops and discovery sessions to understand client objectives, assess environments, and recommend service solutions 
  • Develop service offerings that encompass implementation, migration, optimization, field, and managed services 
  • Lead the development of SOWs, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with client needs and business objectives 
  • Create compelling presentations and supporting materials that articulate the value of SHIs service solutions 
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to refine and enhance service positioning 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on modern cloud strategies and service adoption 
  • Collaborate with internal delivery and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of services 
  • Drive revenue growth within the professional services team by identifying new opportunities and optimizing service offerings 
  • Engage with SHI sales teams, including front line sellers and client success managers, to ensure a unified approach to service delivery and client engagement 
  • Contribute to practice development by identifying areas for growth and leading innovation initiatives 
  • Create and maintain practice standards and practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention 
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to clients and SHI teams on best practices, trends, and innovations in technology

Skill Level Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on service delivery and revenue growth in Professional Services 
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure such as configuration, architecting, migration planning, and execution. 
  • Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible or Jenkins  
  • Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Tanzu, Rancher, Nomad, AKS 
  • Experience working within Agile DevOps frameworks  
  • Ability to analyze client requirements and design solutions that meet their business objectives and budget constraints 
  • Experience designing and positioning service solutions, including professional services, managed services, and operational support 
  • Proficiency in developing proposals and responding to RFPs/RFIs 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a consultative and client-focused approach 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment 

Other Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • 10 years of technical experience with increasing responsibility 
  • 10 years experience designing, implementing and integrating technology solutions 
  • 10 years experience working with and migrating technology solutions 
  • 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure 

Certifications Required

If one of the mandatory certifications is not currently held the successful candidate will be required to obtain at least one within 90 days of commencing the role: 

  • Azure Solutions Architect - Expert 

 

Preferred :

  • Additional cloud technology Certifications relevant to the technology domains described above  

The base salary range for this position is $128,000 - $200,000. The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary and bonus is $160,000 - $250,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
