 Overview

 We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, Telecommunications to lead complex telecommunications projects from planning through implementation and closeout. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong project management, telecommunications industry expertise, and the ability to use data to drive customer resolutions, project decisions, identify risks, track performance, and communicate results to stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working across technical, business, and cross-functional teams. This is a hybrid role located in the Denver, CO area requiring 3 days on site per week.  All qualified candidates must be authorized to work without visa sponsorship or visa transfers. Please note that we do not work C2C.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead telecommunications network projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, and status reporting.
  • Partner with network data teams, engineering, product and other stakeholders to drive project execution.
  • Manage customer network data issues and workflows in Jira, including epics, stories, tasks, dependencies, and project status.
  • Analyze project and operational data to identify trends, risks, gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain data-driven project reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Translate complex data and technical information into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
  • Create executive-level PowerPoint presentations for project updates, status reviews, business cases, risks, and recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver recurring project status reports and executive communications.
  • Track project KPIs, milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and financial or operational metrics.
  • Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and escalate appropriately.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, stakeholder reviews, and executive presentations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure accountability for project deliverables.
  • Manage dependencies across multiple telecommunications initiatives and workstreams.
  • Support process improvements, reporting automation, and standardization of project management practices.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, current, and accessible to stakeholders

Requirements
  • 5+ years of project management experience within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications networks, products, operations, or infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional telecommunications projects.
  • Strong analytical and data skills, with the ability to analyze project data, identify trends, and use metrics to drive decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira for project, task, or Agile workflow management .
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills with experience creating executive-level presentations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project reporting.
  • Experience developing project dashboards, KPIs, status reports, and data-driven presentations.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL or other data-querying and analysis tools is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Experience working with fiber, broadband, wireless, cable, or other telecommunications technologies.
  • Experience managing large-scale network deployment, transformation, product, or technology initiatives.
  • Experience working with telecommunications vendors and third-party partners.
  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field required.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum certification is a plus.

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement with expected salary range of $120,000-$135,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
