Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Product and Competition Analyst that plays a critical role in supporting Penn Mutual’s product strategy and market competitiveness. This position is responsible for conducting in-depth analyses of competitor products and industry trends, developing benchmarking tools, and providing actionable insights that inform various teams throughout the company.
The Senior Analyst collaborates closely with product management, distribution, and marketing teams to develop and communicate competitive strategies that differentiate Penn Mutual’s offerings. In addition, the role provides expert sales support and delivers training and market intelligence to financial professionals and internal partners through reports, presentations, and quarterly webinars.
Create detailed analyses of competitor products and product features for use by product management in the feasibility and pricing stages of new product development
Provide expert sales support and product training to financial professionals, sales teams, and internal partners to enhance their ability to effectively position the company’s life and annuity products
Develop and maintain competitive benchmarking tools to track competitiveness and determine whether competitor product changes impact our competitive positioning
Collaborate closely with product management, distribution, and product marketing teams to develop and refine competitive positioning strategies that differentiate the company’s products and services in the marketplace
Analyze quarterly LIMRA sales reports and other industry data to identify key drivers of competitor and market performance, translating findings into clear, actionable insights
Deliver quarterly webinars to field leaders and the sales desk summarizing key competitor movements, industry trends, and emerging positioning strategies
Monitor regulatory and market developments to ensure timely communication of relevant changes to internal stakeholders
Complies with all company and site policies and procedures
Remains current in profession and industry trends
Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements
Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of life insurance and annuity products
Strong customer service focus

Ability to communicate the results of in-depth analyses
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Education and Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in business related disciple
Minimum of 5 years working in the insurance industry
Knowledge of life insurance and annuity products
Experience with running life illustration software
Base Salary Range - $90,000 - $105,000
