BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for management of a team of software professionals who maintain Android and iOS mobile applications.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and collaborate with product management, business stakeholders, technical operations and other organizations as needed to ensure effective implementation of mobile applications as part of the Spectrum Mobile Software Engineering organization.
  • Accountable for career development, managing the support of existing products and the deployment of new features and applications.
  • Utilize your extensive experience in mobile software development, architecture/design, automation, and quality assurance to ensure on-time delivery of software deployments and releases with high quality.
  • Leading multiple teams of highly talented mobile software engineers in a Scaled Agile software development environment.
  • Communicating periodic project status and escalation of issues to senior leadership, product management, and internal development partners is a major component of being an effective Senior Manager of Software Engineering.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner
  • Knowledge of company products and services
  • Ability to take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projects
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Attention to detail and quality with effective problem solving and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of automation, testing, and code quality
  • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript or Python and modern software approaches and architectures
  • Experience leading teams in a Agile/Scrum environment.


Required Education

  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience


Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

  • Software Engineering experience - 6+
  • Leadership experience - 3


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Strong background with mobile software development across Android and/or iOS platforms.
  • Extensive experience in software development, architecture design, automation and Quality Assurance.
  • Agile software development experience.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into effective engineering execution by removing roadblocks and providing guardrails for the team to succeed.
  • Experience with attracting and retaining top talent.
  • Strong technical leadership background with ability to inspire and empower those around you.
  • Demonstrated passion for people management, mentoring and growing software engineers to meet their career goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Self-motivated individual, able to work through ambiguity and under pressure to meet commitments within tight time constraints.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities, make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.

The base pay for this position generally is between
$110,800.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
