Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sr. Manager of Workday Solutions to lead the enterprise-wide direction, implementation and optimization of the Workday platform, including Financials (FINS), Adaptive Planning, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and Human Capital Management (HCM). In addition to Workday, this leader will also be responsible for managing other critical financial and integration systems such as Blackline (account reconciliation) and PasUnity (data integration and automation).This role requires a strong combination of Workday expertise, cross-functional leadership, and system integration strategy to ensure our ERP ecosystem supports and scales with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic oversight and lifecycle management of the Workday platform, including:
- Financials (GL, AP/AR, Banking, Assets)
- Workday Adaptive Planning (forecasting, budgeting)
- Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Human Capital Management (Core HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Absence, Recruiting, Peakon)
- Oversee administration, integrations, and ongoing support of related systems, including:
- BlackLine – Account reconciliations and financial close automation
- PasUnity – Data integration, scheduling, and transformation for finance operations
- Ensure seamless data flow between Workday and other HR and business systems
- Develop and execute the Workday and finance systems roadmap in alignment with enterprise goals, ensuring all platforms are optimized, compliant, and scalable.
- Serve as the principal liaison between IT and business stakeholders in Finance, HR, and Procurement to assess needs and deliver effective system solutions.
- Manage a cross-functional team of Workday and financial systems analysts, developers, and administrators.
- Responsible for completing security, business process, and configuration requests from business stakeholders
- Ensure proper controls and compliance for financial data, including SOX and audit requirements.
- Drive governance and prioritization of enhancement requests, change management, release planning, and platform upgrades.
- Establish data integrity, process standardization, and automation across the Workday ecosystem and adjacent platforms.
- Stay informed about Workday updates, third-party system enhancements, and integration best practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise applications, including 5+ years in a leadership role managing Workday.
- Broad functional knowledge across multiple Workday modules including FINS, HCM, Procurement, and Adaptive Planning.
- Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing Workday modules
- Hands-on experience managing and integrating third-party tools such as BlackLine and PasUnity.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-level system implementations, enhancements, and platform strategy.
- Strong business acumen and stakeholder management experience across Finance, HR, and IT.
- Experience working in a SOX-compliant or regulated environment.
Preferred:
- Workday certifications in Financials, HCM, Adaptive Planning, or Procurement.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and data governance practices.
- Experience with financial system integrations, data flows, and automation.
- MBA or relevant advanced degree.
Compensation:
$165,000 - $185,000
