About the RoleThe Senior Manager, SI&OP will support the execution of integrated planning processes that connect customer demand, supply and capacity, program execution, and financial outcomes. This role will implement and optimize SI&OP processes across demand forecasting, inventory management, workforce planning, and supply planning to support efficient, scalable operations. This role coordinates cross-functional activities to align sales forecasts with production capabilities and inventory strategies, ensuring on-time delivery of spacecraft and subsystems products while optimizing cost, capacity, and working capital. The Senior Manager will facilitate collaboration across Business Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management to enable predictable execution in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Execute and Optimize SI&OP Processes

  • Implement SI&OP processes and tools tailored to Sierra Space's business needs in the satellite, spacecraft, and subsystems sectors
  • Coordinate cross-functional planning activities—working with Programs, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Development to maintain an integrated and dynamic plan
  • Support scenario planning, trade-off analysis, and capacity/inventory strategies that enable agile response to changing conditions
  • Track and analyze SI&OP performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements to optimize operational efficiency
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • Maintain integrated planning data from CRM, ERP, MRP, FP&A, and operations systems to support decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility into planning metrics and trends
  • Support the adoption of digital planning tools and analytics capabilities
  • Analyze data sets to provide insights and recommendations to leadership, supporting operational improvements
  • Process Governance & Execution
  • Execute SI&OP planning standards, cadences, and processes to ensure consistency and discipline
  • Facilitate planning meetings and forums that align supply, demand, and financial perspectives
  • Monitor adherence to planning processes and report on performance metrics
  • Change Management & Adoption
  • Drive adoption of SI&OP processes across functional teams and programs
  • Develop training materials, process documentation, and best practices to support process adoption
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on SI&OP methodologies and tools
  • Build cross-functional relationships that support planning effectiveness
  • Cross-Functional Integration
  • Ensure SI&OP outputs are translated into master schedules, materials planning, and program execution plans
  • Support planning for new program introductions, proposals, and long-lead procurement decisions
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on capacity, resource, and inventory planning decisions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in business operations, program planning, supply chain, or related fields, with at least 5+ years in roles with cross-functional coordination or team leadership responsibilities
  • Experience with SI&OP or integrated planning processes
  • 3-5 years of experience with SI&OP
  • Strong knowledge in one or more of the following: financial planning & analysis, program/operations planning, supply chain management, or business analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build relationships, and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Experience with change management, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven skills in communication, presentation, conflict resolution, and time management
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation, cost control, and resource planning
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels
  • Working knowledge of CRM/ERP/MRP/FP&A systems; understanding of capacity planning, constraints management, and inventory strategies
  • Experience supporting organizational process adoption and improvement initiatives
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry, US Department of Defense, NASA/Civil space, or commercial space sectors
  • Familiarity with financial forecasting, EACs, and program reviews
  • Experience with advanced planning tools and business intelligence platforms


Compensation:

Pay Range:

$131,636.00 - $181,020.50

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
