The Sr. Manager, Product Management for Data Access Security is a strategic position responsible for the success of SailPoint’s data access governance products. Governing access to structured and unstructured data is a core part of Identity Security. The position requires strong product management skills that balance market needs with SailPoint strategy and heavily relies upon management and communication skills. Additionally, a technical understanding of enterprise software, data governance, identity security, and rapidly evolving security and compliance technologies is critical. This role will set the vision for SailPoint’s data access governance products and ensure execution of that vision. The Sr. Manager will manage Product Managers and work closely with executives to communicate the vision and roadmap, with engineering and services to optimize roadmap execution with successful service delivery, and with marketing and sales to achieve customer growth. Consistent communication with customers, partners, and prospects is expected to have a continuous feedback loop into the product vision.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Product Managers and drive strategy for data access governance products based on market opportunity and need
- Drive product innovation through customer research, deployment success, competitive positioning, and market thought leadership
- Work with other SailPoint product teams to define strategy and prioritize investments
- Perform research and work closely with sales and other stakeholders to understand the integration needs of specific verticals
- Work closely with business development to build and maintain third-party relationships and ensure alignment and access to the appropriate partner programs
- Provide direction and prioritization while working with engineering to manage the product backlog in a lean / agile environment
- Collaborate with the user experience team to ensure ease of connecting to and configuring third-party integrations
- Offer subject matter expertise to support collateral, presentations/scripts, and FAQs that enable critical field resources and communicates our products’ value proposition
- Act as product spokesperson for SailPoint at tradeshows, industry events, and conferences
- Supervise individual product managers domestically and abroad
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in a product management or similar roles within fast growing SaaS companies
- Experience working with data governance portfolios is desired
- Demonstrated success in managing a team of product managers
- Demonstrated success in working with design and engineering teams to plan, develop, refine, and launch successful enterprise software products
- Experience collaborating with product marketing and corporate marketing to deliver content, drive thought-leadership and demand-gen programs
- Experience delivering support to field and channel sales organizations
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills
Education: BA/BS in business or technical field required. MBA is a plus.
Travel: This position requires approximately 25% travel

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$149,300 - $213,300 - $277,300Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
