Location: Denver CO

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality & Reliability leader to build and manage the Quality & Reliability team, aligning quality management with business objectives to drive both compliance and performance.  You will develop and execute quality strategies that enhance process efficiency and predictability, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will ensure quality practices are integrated across all operations, influencing change and helping shape the company’s long-term direction.

This is a full-time role located in our Centennial, CO office in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build, lead, and manage the Quality and Reliability team
  • ISO 9001: Lead the initial certification and ongoing maintenance including implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) and quality audits.
  • Quality Assurance & Control: Oversee all quality assurance processes, including inspection, testing, and validation procedures, ensuring products meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and increase efficiency using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality requirements and ensure compliance, conducting regular audits and assessments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with industry regulations and standards, ensuring that all manufacturing processes and products adhere to legal and safety requirements.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer inquiries and issues, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Process Management: Work across departments to maintain a library of business process flows relevant to quality management
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analytics to track quality metrics, identify trends, and provide regular reports to senior management on quality performance and improvement initiatives.

 

You’ll Need These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in quality management within a high-tech manufacturing and/or semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • ISO 9001: Experience leading a company a company through successful certification
  • New Product Development: End-to-end familiarity with new product development flow for semiconductors, from product specifications to qualification reports and datasheets.
  • Design and Test for Reliability (DfR): Experience in implementing Design for Reliability (DfR) principles to ensure products meet reliability standards throughout their lifecycle. This includes integrating reliability considerations into the design phase, conducting rigorous testing to validate product performance, and applying reliability engineering techniques to identify and mitigate potential failure modes.
  • Circuit Design Principles: Strong understanding of electrical circuit design principles and practices, with the ability to review and interpret circuit designs to identify and address potential quality issues.
  • Continuous improvement: Demonstrated application of quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis [Five Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, etc.], CAPA, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing: In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including wafer fabrication, dicing, post-processing, wire-bonding, handling, and packaging, with the ability to understand and address physical defects and quality issues at each stage.
  • Data-Driven Leadership: Strong capabilities with statistical analysis, structured problem-solving methodologies, and making data-driven decisions, as well as understanding how statistical process control (SPC) is used to monitor and control manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership ability, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree or relevant certification (CQE, CQM, etc)
  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up in the beginning stages of its quality journey
  • ISO 9001 or AS9100 Lead Auditor certification
  • Understanding of lithium-ion battery technology

 Benefits and Compensation:

 Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 (salary is based on education, experience, skillset, and market value).
