We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation and Qualification Engineer to lead efforts in validating the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous automated testing. In this role, you will develop and maintain automation frameworks, define comprehensive test strategies, implement automated test cases, and drive execution to ensure product excellence. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to continuously improve test coverage, processes, and infrastructure.
This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, Canada OR Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks across multiple platforms and environments.
- Define comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, system, and performance testing.
- Implement automated test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
- Execute tests and analyze results to identify defects, regressions, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with Product, IP Systems and Firmware teams to align on test coverage, priorities, and timelines.
- Lead root cause analysis of issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Track quality metrics and provide detailed reporting on test progress and product readiness.
- Continuously optimize and expand test automation infrastructure.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in test automation and quality engineering.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Strong experience developing test automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Computer Architecture and Silicon testing.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
