Position Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, integration, and execution of electrical power distribution systems for modular product applications. This role owns project-level electrical design efforts, ensuring systems are code-compliant, reliable, and manufacturable. The Senior Electrical Engineer leads design execution across projects, coordinates cross-functional integration, and provides technical guidance to engineers and designers.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design for assigned modular infrastructure projects, including data centers, power modules, e-houses, and electrical skids.
  • Develop and review single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring layouts for AC and DC systems supporting critical power applications.
  • Design and coordinate integration of BMS, controls, and auxiliary systems within modular electrical solutions.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other tools to develop detailed electrical layouts, models, and construction drawings.
  • Select and specify electrical components including transformers, switchboards, switchgear, panelboards, busway, cable tray, and cable bus systems.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations to review vendor submittals, validate technical data, and ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Provide technical input during shop drawing reviews and production builds, ensuring constructability and adherence to design standards.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, UL, IBC, and IEC.
  • Support development and application of electrical design standards and best practices to improve consistency and scalability.
  • Lead resolution of electrical design and integration issues during design, prototype, and production phases.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure fully integrated system layouts.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field.
    • Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering is a plus.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • 5–8 years of experience in electrical engineering, design, and integration within critical power systems, modular infrastructure, or industrial applications.
  • Strong experience with UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution equipment integration.
  • Solid understanding of power distribution design, protection concepts, and load calculations.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent electrical design tools.
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, UL, IEEE).
  • Experience coordinating across engineering disciplines and supporting multi-disciplinary system integration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with focus on practical, buildable solutions.
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles in electrical system design.

Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability

  • Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
  • Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
  • Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
  • Work in all types of weather.
  • Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures. 
  • Prompt, punctual, and regular attendance during core business hours, in an office environment (not a telecommuting position), currently located in the Aurora, including a reliable means of transport to and from work. 
  • Ability to occasionally travel between corporate offices and jobsites within the Greater Denver Area, during work hours.
  • This role may occasionally travel within the US but is not anticipated to exceed 10%.
