As a Senior Consultant on the Professional Services team, you will serve as a trusted advisor, partnering with customers to deliver successful software implementations from project kickoff through go-live. You will leverage your expertise in system configuration, data conversion, training, and business process consulting to help customers achieve their business objectives and maximize the value of their investment. Working closely with customers, project teams, and both internal and external stakeholders, you will gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure alignment between project goals and organizational priorities. As a key member of the MGA Professional Services team, you will combine technical knowledge with business acumen to drive project success, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and serve as the primary resource accountable for the successful implementation of assigned projects. You will be responsible to work with customers and internal teams alike on a daily basis to configure and implement SaaS based software.


Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

·       Lead the implementation efforts for complex projects, including requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, and execution of business needs, functional and non-functional specifications, use cases, and process flows

·       Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise SaaS implementation projects from kickoff to user acceptance testing, training, and delivery

·       Execute data conversion tasks, author project deliverables, and provide application configuration consulting throughout the project lifecycle 

·       Work with the technical implementation team to ensure technical requirements are understood and completed

·       Work closely with product and engineering team to ensure relevant customer feedback is considered in the roadmap and feature/bug prioritization

·       Collaborate with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of business objectives and technical solutions, aligning them with overarching PS goals

·       Communicate project deliverables at all levels, and make sure items are executed on time, to budget, with high quality 

·       Participate in project planning, scoping calls, and estimation activities, providing valuable insights and contributing to project scope definition, which will include writing statements of work (SOWs)

·       Understand customer needs and translate them into configurable requirements and implement them successfully

·       Excellent relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with partners across all levels of the organization to understand their business, challenges and opportunities

·       Proven ability to produce high-quality deliverables, including clear and concise business documents, reports, and presentations

·       Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify process improvement opportunities and provide recommendations for optimizing project delivery

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and QA as well as other project/program managers, to ensure successful implementation of projects

·       Proactively identify and address project issues, risks, and dependencies to mitigate potential challenges and ensure project success

·       Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines

·       Facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing among project team members and stakeholders

·       Mentor and guide other consultants, providing support, feedback, and sharing best practices to enhance their skills and performance

·       Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis and software development

·       Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced software development environment


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·       MS Office Applications

·       Working knowledge of backend development systems

·       Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies

·       Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders both internally and externally facing

·       Proven ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels, and ability to effectively handle crucial conversations and manage conflict resolution

·       Expertise in requirement gathering techniques, documentation standards, and software implementations

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset

·       Ability to effectively prioritize workload and tasks to meet deadlines

·       Excellent presentation and communications skills, both written and verbal

·       Outstanding time management skills

·       Ability to effectively solve problems, react to situations decisively and effectively

·       Flexible, easily adaptable to change, creative and innovate


Qualifications:

·       BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

·       7+ years of experience gworking as a Consultant in the MGA insurance industry

·       7+ years of experience in a Professional Services organization

·       Strong knowledge of insurance business practices and structure

·       Broad knowledge of policy administration systems, raters, and other insurance business applications

·       Experience managing or working with enterprise customers

·       Strong knowledge of insurance accounting practices preferred

·       Knowledge of insurance industry-specific standards and regulations preferred

·       Experience in facilitating workshops and conducting user interviews preferred

·       Familiarity with project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., PMBOK) preferred

Additional Requirements and Details:    

·       Travel required up to 10% of the time

·       Ability to work remote with a stable internet connection on an as needed basis.

·       Located and working from an office location (when required)

·       Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds

·       Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer

·       Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.)

·       Frequent sitting and/or standing

The Professional Services (PS) and Customer Success (CX) bonus plans are a quarterly monetary bonus plan based upon individual and practice performance against specific business metrics.  Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.

The Vertafore Incentive Plan (VIP) is an annual monetary bonus for eligible employees based on both individual and company performance.  Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.

Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but common components include quota, MBO's and ABPMs.  Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
