Sr Cloud Engineering Consultant - GCP

 

Perficient is seeking a Sr Cloud Engineering Consultant - Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to help enterprise clients modernize infrastructure, accelerate cloud adoption, and deliver scalable cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong consulting experience, deep GCP expertise, and hands-on experience across Kubernetes, DevOps, automation, and cloud architecture. 

 

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Build and support Kubernetes platforms using GKE.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions with Terraform.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps best practices.
• Apply SRE principles to improve reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor team members and contribute to architecture, solutioning, and pre-sales activities.
• Support adoption of Google AI services, including Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Dataflow. 

 

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong experience with:
  • GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)
  • Terraform
  • CI/CD and automation
  • Cloud networking and security
  • Microservices and distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or similar programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Experience with Vertex AI, AI-enabled cloud solutions, or MLOps.
• Experience leading enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, SRE, platform engineering, and cloud governance best practices.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974 to $149,880. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
