Summary 

Are you excited about building and sharing analytics products that help teams make better decisions with data? As a Sr BI Engineer you will bridge the gap between raw data and business impact by designing user-first dashboards and analytics solutions. Working at the heart of our expanding data infrastructure, you'll collaborate with product managers and analysts to define meaningful metrics, curate trusted datasets, and ensure data accessibility for all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities 

  • Dashboard & Analytics Development: Design and develop user-centric dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions and enable self-service analytics capabilities while ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across the organization
  • Metrics Strategy & Implementation: Partner with product managers and analysts to define, implement, and maintain key business metrics while establishing governance standards and assisting A/B testing for product initiatives
  • Data Modeling & Curation: Design and maintain curated datasets through sophisticated data modeling techniques. create reusable data marts and semantic layers that serve as trusted sources of truth while implementing data validation and quality checks
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting:  Implement and maintain comprehensive data monitoring and alerting processes to ensure pipeline reliability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver data solutions that drive business value and to communicate complex technical topics to a variety of audiences.
  • Implementing Standards: Document and promote best practices in data visualization, modeling, and governance across the organization

Required Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or similar roles
  • Strong experience with orchestration and transformation tools like dbt
  • Strong experience with Sigma or similar modern BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
  • Proven track record of building user-facing dashboards and self-service analytics solutions
  • Experience with data modeling, dimensional modeling, and creating semantic layers
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for solving complex data challenges.

New Hire Base Salary Range

  • $150,000-$175,000 USD
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
  • The compensation offered will take into account internal compensation structure and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
