We are seeking a strategic and proactive Senior Accountant to join our corporate team. In addition to strong technical accounting expertise, the ideal candidate will bring experience in financial analysis and/or FP&A, or demonstrate a clear ability to step into those responsibilities with confidence. This role offers broader exposure than a traditional accounting position and is well-suited for someone who is comfortable working with general guidance, applying strong critical thinking skills, and proactively moving projects and analyses forward. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, business insights, and decision-making initiatives across the organization.
Location: Corporate Office in South Sioux City, Nebraska (hybrid work schedule)
What You’ll DoPrepare and review statutory financial statements and related insurance schedules
Ensure compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP)
Support and coordinate internal and external audit processes
Partner cross-functionally to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
Mentor and provide guidance to accounting team members, fostering growth and excellence
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with financial analysis or similar FP&A work
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience
CPA strongly preferred
Insurance or statutory accounting experience strongly preferred
Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and guide team members
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
