The Cost Check Spend Optimization Manager is responsible for maintaining and supporting accounts through every stage of the customer journey, including Implementation, Stabilization, and Customer Success/Support. This role plays a critical part in ensuring hospitals maximize their pharmacy savings opportunities by driving consistent engagement, monitoring performance, and supporting both customers and internal teams with expert insights.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in hospital pharmacy purchasing and cost savings optimization. Experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage. They excel at building substantive customer relationships and can balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution to deliver measurable value.

This is an opportunity to directly impact hospital pharmacy savings and customer success while shaping best practices for CostCheck engagement. You’ll work closely with pharmacy purchasing teams, innovative internal stakeholders, and forward-thinking hospital partners to maximize value delivery and ensure customer satisfaction.

Representation Duties and Responsiblities:

  • Account Engagement & Support:
  • - Serve as the primary contact for assigned CostCheck customers throughout the customer lifecycle.
    - Drive consistent engagement with weekly check-ins, recurring calls, and regular customer communications to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment with savings objectives.
    - Offer high-level training and share expertise with both internal teams and customer stakeholders.
  • Savings & Performance Monitoring:
  • - Monitor pharmacy savings performance relative to caps and proactively develop strategies to ensure hospitals meet or exceed savings goals.
    - Conduct in-depth analysis of customer pharmacy spend, savings opportunities, and recent actions; present insights during recurring calls, Executive Business Reviews (EBRs), and ad hoc updates.
    - Submit insights on behalf of customers to ensure optimization and improved outcomes.
  • Strategy & Best Practices:
  • - Develop and maintain the CostCheck Engagement Playbook, outlining engagement strategies, cadence timelines, best practices, and communication plans.
    - Identify gaps in pharmacy utilization and recommend training or communication strategies to improve adoption and results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • - Act as the primary liaison between Product, Service, and internal teams to communicate product updates, identify emerging pharmacy cost-saving opportunities, and share customer insights.
    - Partner with internal stakeholders to provide feedback and influence enhancements to tools, processes, and overall customer experience.
  • Thought Leadership & Enablement:
  • - Lead and coordinate webinars, presentations, and customer-facing content to drive awareness of savings opportunities and product updates.
    - Represent the pharmacy customer voice internally and ensure their challenges and successes are understood across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, pharmacy, healthcare management, or a related field.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) credentials are strongly preferred and considered a plus.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in hospital pharmacy purchasing, procurement, or pharmacy supply chain management.
  • Strong familiarity with pharmacy cost savings programs, 340B program requirements, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs) preferred.
  • Experience in customer engagement, account management, or implementation within healthcare or hospital systems.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with hospital pharmacy and supply chain teams while delivering measurable value.
  • Strong financial and data analysis skills, with the ability to assess savings and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills for both customer-facing and internal audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across different customer accounts while maintaining high attention to detail.

This position is a remote position and open to applicants in the continental United States.
