Owns the customer lifecycle for IoT deployments, including pre-sales discovery, solution design, demos, implementation, hardware configuration, API and MQTT integrations, troubleshooting, training, and post-launch technical account support. The role translates operational needs into documented solutions, analyzes deployment data, manages customer handoffs, collaborates with engineering, and supports account growth. Travel of up to 50% is required.
This is a remote position.
Embrace Industrial Group supports some of the world’s largest and most complex manufacturers—serving 8 of the Top 10 global Chemical companies, 3 of the Top 10 Automotive companies, and 3 of the Top 5 Oil & Gas companies, along with industry leaders in Heavy Machinery and Food Manufacturing.
Radiant RFID is a next-generation IoT platform under the Embrace umbrella, focused on enterprise-grade asset tracking. Our technology empowers organizations to manage and monitor critical and mobile assets in real time—boosting visibility, accountability, and operational efficiency, all while requiring minimal IT infrastructure.
About the Role
We're looking for a technically versatile IoT Solutions Engineer to own the customer experience end to end - from pre-sales scoping and solution design, through implementation and delivery, to post-launch support and account growth. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone who's comfortable moving between a whiteboard conversation with a customer's ops team and a technical deep-dive with engineering.
You'll work across the full lifecycle of our IoT deployments (BLE, RFID, GPS, and related hardware), translating business and operational needs into scoped, documented technical solutions - then seeing them through to a successful handoff and beyond.
Pre-Sales
- Partner with Sales on technical discovery calls, scoping conversations, and solution design for prospective customers
- Translate customer requirements gathered in conversation into clear, documented technical solutions
- Assess and document solution complexity to support accurate implementation estimates
- Deliver product and platform demos tailored to a customer's use case
- Configure front-end platform settings and integrations to match the agreed solution
- Work hands-on with RFID, BLE, GPS, and other IoT hardware during deployment and testing
- Build and troubleshoot integrations using APIs, webhooks, and MQTT
- Collaborate closely with our engineering team (a global, distributed team) to resolve technical issues and refine solutions
- Manage and configure mobile devices as part of deployment
- Own a clean handoff from delivery into steady-state support
- Define and document scope of work for customer engagements
- Train customer teams - technical concepts in plain language for non-technical stakeholders
- Analyze deployment and usage data (Excel, SQL) to monitor solution health and identify opportunities
- Serve as an ongoing technical point of contact for assigned accounts
Requirements
Technical Experience
- Hands-on experience with RFID, BLE, GPS, or other IoT hardware technologies
- Front-end platform configuration
- Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and MQTT-based integrations
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with data analysis
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM)
- Proven ability to translate customer conversations into technical requirements and documented solutions
- Running customer demos and product/platform walkthroughs
- Delivering training that makes technical concepts accessible to non-technical audiences
- Comfortable owning the relationship across the full pre-sale-to-delivery arc, not just one stage
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects at once
- Self-starter who takes ownership without needing close direction
- Genuinely enjoys solving complex, ambiguous technical problems
- Willing and able to travel up to 50%
- Postman
- Atlassian suite (Jira)
- Salesforce
- CAD or similar design/visualization tools
- MSSQL
- Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to support day-to-day work
- 5-10 years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical customer success role
- Demonstrated experience owning technical relationships across pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
Benefits
- Competitive base salary.
- Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, 401(k), etc.).
